For Christ's sake... this entire PVP thread started because of PVP issues that needed resolving in terms of mechanics and DM adjudication. This resulted in a Knock-Out script being implemented as policy for the entire server in all cases of PVP, excepting cases of *MUTUAL CONSENTED* RP death/maiming for role-play's sake. If you bothered to read this forum or this thread in its entirety, you would know this already. USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION. It should have come as no surprise to you that there is a 60 second KO as default. If you disagree with it, don't like it, or want it changed, then by all means bring it up as a respectful and civil topic of discussion to both the DM's and the playerbase. But don't troll and flame by finger-pointing and claiming someone was being unfair to you by NOT killing your character. Honestly, you seem to be proceeding on a LOT of assumptions that stem from your own provincial perspective on how "things ought to be". Take 24 hours off. Read the forums CAREFULLY, and then consider how your own interpretations and opinions might not be the default in regards to how roleplay and friendly gaming here work. If you can take the blow to your pride, confess that you were hasty and leaped to conclusions, apologize if you offended anyone, and then move on. You'll gain more respect from others in the community by being circumspect rather than continuing to push an agenda and refusing to consider you might be mistaken. Ujio just lost a girl on the list... She is all mine. I agree totally... though it seems as if whenever bogus posts it is about non conclusive acts of Ne'Lleenya for no apparent reason. This was a thread about the whole ooc chat yelling and screaming saying he wasn't dead when Ne'Lleenya had to quickly dispose of him... Just because there is a timer on when you are going to resurrect does not mean you are not dead, Rp it off it makes it easier for the other person to "move" the body into a place where it could not be found. They move it when they leave you run and continue what you were doing and not go near that area again. Or you can simple just lay there and pray someone finds you, either or that is the point of a PvP situation UNLESS given notice of a hand to hand sparring match. SHIT PERIOD, STUPID.

Listen, i really can not understand what is wrong in my suggestion? That is really nothing to do with Shawn drow and my dwarf, the point is - more death, more work for clerics. We have lot of them on server. Why not to use their ability to resurrect? Just look further, there will be Sshamath and drow raids, surely their will be corpses after it from both sides. 60 seconds knock out is 60 seconds knock out, death is death. Both sides can be given a small amount of exp when they wins, and other will lose a small amount. I am just against full war, where UD and Surface will be like monsters to each other with 5% lost of exp. That's all. For now i am simply confused how to roleplay that 60 seconds knock out in PvP, as i was killed, as i wasn't killed, or as i like it. But again - i am against the idea to roleplay 60 seconds knock out as you want or like. It is a big and important event in the PCs history of life. I just want ONE COMMON RULE for it.

Maybe because of the language barrier i can not get my idea to you. Lets do it that way - what i would like to see on server connecting to PvP:
situation 1. Sparring. =============== Player A knocks out player B and player B waits 60 seconds on the ground. After in 60 seconds player B get up, player A and player B can have another round of sparring if they like.
situation 2. Just conflict. ================= Player A knocks out player B and player B waits 60 seconds on the ground. After 60 seconds player B can attack player A again if he/she likes. That can be untill situation 3.
situation 3. Lethal conflict. =================== Player A knocks out player B. Player A keeps on attacking player B who is on the ground. After it player B dies and have a pup up window, where is said: "Return to Main Menu, Wait for help, Resurrect in Temple, Resurrect in Beregost Hospital". After player A killed player B, player A is given a small amount of exp, after player B is resurrected by cleric he/she looses non of exp points, if player B is resurrected in Temple or Hospital he/she looses the small amount of exp.
Hope this will be more clear. No agreements about PvP, just this script. This will help fighters without any holding magic to keep drow on the ground until Flaming Fist patrol coming (or keep surfacer on the ground until Sshsmath patrol coming) if the intruders are trying to escape.

The problem is that you're not getting the hole ''gets up after 60 seconds'' idea. Despite the fact that you have your full life backafter engage and lose the battle (not sparring) You MUST RP that you're near death. At least to that player who just ''killed'' you. Or you RP that you died. You can easily send a tell to the player or type: ooc or ///did you killed me or left me near death uncouncious? The guy says: You're dead. Then you get up, and he will ignore you. Go somewhere else. If the guy says: you're near death but uncouncius. Then you just wait for him to leave, or just get up and walk away, RPing that you're still on the ground uncouncious. Doesent matter to the other guy what you're gonna do. You're out of the game for the moment to him. The only thing that you cant do, is get up and start fighting again. Thats BAD. Pretend. Create. Imagine. You can do it! There is a Role Player inside you. Let him out! lol Thanks Raffael aka Zeal

No I just dont like the fact of flaming Shawn for no apparent reason, What I was trying to say is you need to RP some when getting killed in a PvP... It is called reading the whole reply and not just selective reading. You said earlier that Ne'Lleenya killed you.. or someone.. then you act as if she didnt kill you and you had 60 seconds until being fully revived. What I am saying is when killed in a PvP situation that you have to RP as if you were dead, regretfully yes... you do get revived in 60 seconds, but when those 60 seconds are up you are still dead. You will play as being dead and they will RP as getting rid of your body, maybe now instead of selective reading you can actually read what I am trying to tell you. Sparring is if it was settled between the two and you two want to use fists. PvP is when someone comes to you says *YOUR f**kING DEAD* (just about as simple as I can for someone to understand me sorry for the language) and then kills you. You get up in 60 seconds use the pc tool to lay down as your dead... You dont say anmything, if they act as if they are getting rid of your body you follow them and lay down there, OR they leave and you get up after they are out of sight and just head the other direction. DID I GET IT ACROSS TO YOU THIS TIME?

Sigh... You still insist on seeing things through your narrow little world view. Please take a moment to unstick your perspective and think about this.
#1: You disagree with a 60 KO script.
Okay, that's fine. Many people disagree with many things in life. They either suck it up and move on, or discuss it in a POLITE and civil manner. You have done neither. You're creating an aggravated problem where there was none.
#2: Just because there are many cleric characters NOW on the server doesn't not mean it was always so, nor that it shall always be so.
Server populations come and go, as do character concepts. When I first started playing here back in Test Alpha/Beta, guess what...? I was one of TWO characters on the server capable of casting any of the Cure spells, and I wasn't even a cleric. That left one bard and one cleric for the entire server population of wizards and fighter types. This was the situation for perhaps the first several months until the server population began to rapidly grow a couple of months ago. I suspect there will come times when the healing/raise factor of the server will diminish again. All things come in cycles. Don't assume just because your cleric is here now, that you will still be here six months from now. The rest of the server population has to deal along a longer timeline than you do.
#3: You and the other players obviously have wildly differing narrations of the events you quote as examples.
You insist yours is the one true telling of the tale, even when it comes off that you make sudden 180 degree reversals in your story, and cast doubt on your credibility. There's a level of internal consistency that has come off in the stories of others, whereas yours are now perceived as being (at the kindest), strongly slanted and colored to your perspective. Whether either side is telling the unadulterated truth is not to be debated here. Whether or not you can come to some sort of ability to agree to disagree with the others, and "live and let live" is the issue.
#4: None of this would be an issue if you did not place yourself into PVP situations.
If you dislike the server's KO rules, the automatic scripts, and how people roleplay their PVP interactions as much as you seem to, then my suggestion is to STOP interacting with these people, and stop getting your characters into PVP situations. This would not be a problem for you unless you decided to make it a problem. There are numerous people to roleplay with, and the quality of players we are fortunate enough to have here is such that they will leave you alone if you tell them you don't want to interact with them, particularly in a PVP manner.
Right now, honestly it seems as if you are coming off with a temper tantrum wanting the server to change to exactly the way you wish it to, "or else..."
I haven't said this because I think you can still salvage the situation by manning up and admitting you might be wrong or mistaken about what you've said. But I am sure there are others who are waiting for the inevitable answer of "Or else what...?" If and when that time comes, they will likely call you out and you'll have to show your cards. *shrugs* Unless you want to take your ball and go home, there's nothing else you can do by continuing with the negative angle you've been going on.
Just stop your feud with Shawnystyle. Stop chasing his character down. Concentrate on playing your own character with who you like RP-ing with. If anyone tries to initiate PVP with you and you don't agree on the manner of PVP, just firmly and politely say "No, thank you". I think that's all that needs to happen.

Did i ever say that i don't like or disagree with 60 sec KO script? No. I just suggesting to make another step forward in that script. Also i was suggesting to move forward in Temple scripts for cleric. I like everything on this server (payed on Raurin(russian one), Anphillia and Haven for a long time before BG TSCC) but some things seems to me not done to their logical end because we are in a Beta. PvP system and Temple benefits. Stone Age, when you started to play passed away, there are a lot things on other servers, that can be aded to this one. Appearance Changer for example. Craft system and PvP system. I am not afraid of any kind of PvP, i will not start it with my Tyr's cleric PC, but there can be another PC of mine, halfdrow lady rogue-assassin maybe. Maybe for drow raids or maybe for spying for Duke or maybe for both aims. That is because i don't know what to do as a cleric further. No PvP death, there is no need for my resurrection spells, no party adventures, because exp is too small in them. No reason to stay in a Temple, because there is no life in the city and in Palace District no one even goes and a lot of new comers didn't even know about that area. Sorry if i seem to be not polite, writing in english is really not my strong part. And i really doubt having "narrow little world view" that because i am old and know where things go and you too young to see it. And i really DO KNOW how to make this server better and have suggestions - you have none. You are discussing my posts and not my suggestions. If you are okey with 60 KO script and don't want anything else, fine. I am not the one who is pising in his pants thinking of how many exp he can lose in PvP and who prefer to roleplay his death, but staying unharmed. PvP servers are boring, but some adrenaline from PvP in a light form should be. And it is impossible to get that adrenaline without risk of losing exp or items or gold if you are killed. Do you like PvP or don't, UD races in a raid will not ask you. You will be killed without any agreements and no one will look at your awesome roleplay, UD band will run further for new victims. And the same thing will happen when a group of surface players will hunt down that raid band to the Sshamath gates. Believe me, you will all ask yourself for some benefits from PvP, otherwise it will be meaningless, and you would prefer to chop treants then to roleplay a hunt for drow. Surely you will be happy to do it first twenty times without exp and benefits, but when it will be usual event - everyone would better slash monsters rather then simply waste time persuting intruders for nothing.

no one will look at your awesome roleplay I'd just like to point out that this is not necessarily true in the situation you mentioned. It is highly likely that a DM may be involved in large raids and will be watching how players roleplay encounters with the Drow players who are raiding. I'd also like to note that sometimes DMs are watching even when you think they're not. When I played on PWs in NWN1, I consistently roleplayed by myself (i.e. initiating sacred rituals, etc.) only to find that, incredibly (or perhaps not so incredibly), I was being watched by a DM and was ultimately rewarded for my dedication. As far as actually killing other players go, originally, players got a "subdual mode" item which switched the modes on and off. I don't know if it still works as it hasn't been given to any new characters I made, but if it does, I think it's a fine solution that already exists. If two players want to actually kill each other (or be killed), they can just switch subdual mode to off.

I like to rid my Lord Bhaal's temple of the vermin that have invaded it. I might take up kidnapping to make sacrifices to the god of murder. It would be better than bringing goats and chickens.
