as akavit said in the"which classes are underpowered" thread, some light weapons with stun and vampiric regeneration. the stun effect works best if it's only a % chance of striking. like, 50% is badass. i personally prefer to use a stunning weapon in my off hand, and let my main hand deal the damage.

Vamp regen doesnt work all the time and those On-Hit effects can add up quick on server drain, not to mentioned shoot the level requirement up quick.

I'd say more items that are ostensibly non-magical but give minor +s to skills (i.e. as follows - I'm at work right now so this is just off the top of my head...). - Soft Leather Boots: +2 Move Silently - Book of All Things: +3 Lore (can have multiple volumes) - Knight's Full Helm: +3 Concentration & -1 Listen,Search,Spot - Trapspringer's Gloves: +2 Find/Disarm Traps - Dark Grey Cloak: +2 Hide - Ornate Scepter: +2 Intimidate (makes someone look important and official) You can probably tell I have a bias towards low levels and low powered games.

All helmets should grant a +1 deflection bonus, in my opinion. Consider that the current helmets do little more than add +1 Concentration (and perhaps not even that). A helmet, in and of itself, should protect you from harm. That's why people wear helmets. This would probably require that the price of helmets be increased by a hundred gold or so, but it would add some realism (and usefulness) to a helmet. As nwndm suggested about his helmet, I also recommend that helmets reduce Listen, Search, and Spot like they would in real life. I've worn helmets. I don't know how people could function in them, but they work.

higher ab for smaller, low damage, low crit weapons, such as dagger. not necessarily enhancement bonus. perhaps just ab.

A Fine Steel Greatsword and any other weapon type that may be missing from the fine steel range.
Some rings that give Paladin and Ranger spell slots and some other rings that give stat enhancements like CHA and CON etc.
Some Gauntlets Of Ogre Power.
Some Boots Of Hardiness and Boots Of Striding maybe.

A wand of stone to flesh for a relatively low price with a good number of uses would be nice for the Underdark. As it is, the guaths and basilisks are impossible to fight with a character with poor Fortitude save, making parties important. A good wand like this would allow parties without a decent caster to form up and take out these things.
It would be really nice for poor wizards and their sad, pathetic, apathetic Fortitude save.

Variations of the new mask/hood that include some of the already existing masks benefits would be nice...
I like the idea of carryable items that add small bonuses.. you mentioned awards for the Fist.. I think small tokens that are able to be given out by DMs for events would be cool. Nature items that give small bonuses, bones/fingers/ears that give battle bonuses, and of course small tokens for the thieves/assassins as well.. ha ha. Nothing extravagant, but a non-equipable item that gives a plus 1 or 2 or in rare cases 3 on a stat would be a cool reward for jobs well done.

Wand of Assay Resistance vs those pesky Drow! Actually, just selling the scrolls in a shop would be great.

Some Boots Of Hardiness and Boots Of Striding maybe. There are rings of CHA now. I think the wizard shop in BG has them. +1 and +2 flavor. And I think the loot script has both the boots you are asking about. So they will probably show up over time through players finding them. higher ab for smaller, low damage, low crit weapons, such as dagger. not necessarily enhancement bonus. perhaps just ab. Check the shop at Beregost for daggers. I think there are two new one's there. They also use the inverted dagger HAK so they look good to. I think Beregost also got some Kama's, and perhaps some short swords to. There is a thieves guild somewhere now to which has a ton of daggers, short swords, and other goods. I'm not going to tell you were though. There is a +2 STR helmet now Your welcome Meldor...

Another idea I talked about with a DM once was a figurine of wondrous power...
Basically just an item that allows you to cast one of the various summon creature spells x/times per day... like the wand of summoning but perhaps available to more classes?
That way my good aligned, dual scimitar, drow ranger.. Fritz.. can use one! Yay!

Deck of many things. Only of course if it's not a scripters nightmare.
I enjoy some chaos now and then.
