How does the warlock spell Walk Unseen work? Does it just modify your Hide/MS or are you invis regardless?

How does the warlock spell Walk Unseen work? Does it just modify your Hide/MS or are you invis regardless? It works like a standard invisibility spell, except with longer duration. That is, you don't actually turn invisible to other players, OOCly; instead, you turn slightly transluscent. Your hide/MS are unaffected.

So anyone can see you?
What if they are set to Hostile?

invisibility as it is currently implemented by obsidian allows ANYONE to see you, you appear as a slightly transparent version of yourself.

it looks like monsters can see you as well. zeb's tried using invis to flee a couple times, but it failed miserably. the ones on me stayed on me, and i gathered new monsters by trying run away.

Monsters can't "see" you, but if they know you are there they will use listen vs move silently rolls to find and attack you. If your ms is high enough, they won't be able to find you while you're invisible.
On the topic of the thread, by the way, I just realized that due to the cap on non-innate skill bonuses, it's actually impossible to build a stealther on the server that is completely undetectable, given the spotting equipment I summarized on page 4 - which is good. You can never get a skill bonus from non-innate sources (spells, equipment, familiars and the like) that exceeds 50, and since innate sources are equal and an opposed d20 roll is made, if the spotter can reach a non-innate bonus of +31 in either skill, he always has a chance of spotting any stealther of equal level, assuming a proper spotting build.
Currently, that is achievable; spot can reach a temporary long-term bonus of +27 (items) +4 (g.heroism) +8(inspire competence) = +39. In the short term, C&C brings it to +49 (very close to the cap). Equivalent numbers for Listen are +23 (items) +4 (g.heroism) +8(inspire) +3(familiar) = +38. Short-term bonuses reach the +50 cap with Amplify.
If your spotter is of equal level to the stealther and is equally well-built and equipped with the best I've seen on the server (that is purchasable by anyone), then you always have a chance to spot the stealther. If someone is undetectable by your char, then they're either higher level or have optimized their build for stealth better than you have optimized yours for spotting.
