I agree totally with the idea of group monsters of different kind, and would be nice to make them linked to each others so you cant just single pull them one at time.

I think the level speed is perfectly balanced, but some classes are not, as discussed a million times. Leave XP as is, which is very good, but restrict spellcaster resting rules, and add more dispel everywhere. Let's see who gets epic in a week after that.

Hey! Leave my lvl 12 Drow Wizard alone who I grinded to that in 4 days because theres nothing else to do BUT grind and its vacation.
Do you know how annoying it is to rest and get interrupted when an enemy walks by and have to wait another 5 hours?

I'm really really not liking where this thread is going. The entire point of RP is freedom. The word "Force" and "Party" and "Grind" are being used way to much. Really when I play I like to PLAY not WORK. When I log on I like to RP conversations and situations I'm not the kind of person who likes to go. "Hey! Lets go kill thousands and thousands of the same monster over and over for great justice to the forests!" Then spend the next 7 hours of my life killing spiders with 4 other people going *Hits spider with stick* "Woo that was close" *brushes self off* Not my kinda RP. Seriously wether we like it or not your RP power is directly determined by your characters level, especially when player conflict, belittling and bullying steps in. I want to see minimal grinding time with more time to RP so I don't have to log on at level 17 and decided wether or not its faster to kill 900 Spiders or 500 Helmed horrors to my level up and just hope that leaves me some free time before I leave my house. I'm all fine with making Party rewarding areas but don't take away people's abilities to play alone and kill monsters alone. As a wilderness druid who spends most of his time in the forest alone I like to be able to wander around killing things on my own or just with the help of my bear and rewarded for it. Can I quote you?

I believe it is well balanced but it would be nice to see more powerful creatures for epics. I currently only have one epic character at the moment but my others are not to fare away. As it is my highest lvl character is lvl 22 and only gets 50 xp when soloing frosties. At the moment the frosties don't stand a chance and seem to spawn slowly. It would be nice if there was perhaps another area with more powerful monsters to hunt that would give better xp. It gets boring grinding solo but i get way less xp when grinding with some one and it take for ever. As of late I've just been helping other lvl OOC and challenging people to OOC PVP fights for fun. But over all I'd say the xp systems is very well balanced and the monster selection over all is much better than it was before. More powerful beast to hunt for us epic would be nice though, perhaps something that would force us to party up would be even better. Perhaps a valley of dragons would be kool or even tomb of powerful undead that are resistant to turning would be good to. IDK, just my two cents. and might I ad, I do rp still with my other characters, I just tend to not use them as much. I don't rp much with my epic because he is evil and want to kill everybody and I think it is unfair to att. lower lvl pc's who don't stand a chance. I don't run into to many high lvl pc's anymore. Also most people tend to avoid getting into a pvp match, I would suspect they are using above the game knowledge on that though since they tend to get brave once they gain a few lvls.

I consider the progression pretty much balanced as of now. For my personal taste, I could do a little slower, but as soon as you stop grinding to keep up, you can go on at your own pace anyway.

My ridicously fast grind was due to very quickly figuring out whats best to grind but grinding for me as a caster until i get Shapechange can only be done in a group, for 2-3 levels in the 9-11 range I could grind bugbears alone but after that easier to grind spiders in a group. I hope stuff is added for the lvl 20-30 range. I don't want to kill 100,000 kobolds

I'm not sure I'd agree completely with what you suggest, but it's an idea to ponder. Similar methods that aren't quite as restrictive could probably be used somehow. One big problem I see is how do the PCs who roleplay NOT wanting to fight ever get up in levels? ;D Anyway, for your suggestion, I now throw you a rotten... ... KARMA POINT!

Interesting............................. But I also agree with someone that posted a xp cap for each week or something........I think that was Broham right? And SirC, you dont always need to fight to get xp....take monks for example....or clerics.....or mages...monks cand meditate and never leave the temple, clerics can pray...mages can spend time with study(LOL)....its experience! In a way....

Ya thats another thing, I would love an alternative to fighting for Mages, killing 10,000 creatures for spell components doesnt work.

I see no problems with rapid level progression, I wish I could level rapidly. Being stuck in the mud is indeed starting to annoy in some extent.
As for the mentor comment... yuck.
