One of the largest of the mercenary companies currently active, the Flaming Fist is usually based in Baldurs Gate, where its commander Eltan is a Duke. The Fist has a good record of achievements, particularly when operating against other mercenary companies.

I _________ do hereby take oath to become a fighting citizen of Baldur’s Gate and henceforth will be a proud member of the Flaming Fist. I am prepared to give my life in defense of the city and her leaders, the surrounding region and my brother‘s at arms. I will aid those who need aid, defend those who cannot defend themselves and will be vigilant in my duties. I will never surrender of my own free will. This, I swear.
I will stand guard in defense of the great city of Baldur’s Gate and will never abandon my post unless ordered to do so.
I will report all violations of Laws and Orders, Agreements and Treaties that I am instructed to enforce.
I will salute the Duke and all officers of a higher rank than myself. I will make no statements, actions or otherwise against them and will follow my orders without question.

A Flaming Fist soldier will never assault an unarmed subject unless hostile action is taken against them. Spell casting is to be considered an act of hostility toward any Flaming Fist soldier.
A Flaming Fist soldier will always aid those who are in need of aid. This does not allow one to ‘Freelance’ their services to others while on duty unless there is a dire need to justify such actions. Should there be a dire need of such actions, you will report the situation to your Chain of Command as soon as is reasonable.
A Flaming Fist soldier is the Guardian and Enforcer of the Tradeway and the great city of Baldur’s Gate. As such, you will never make demands of others without reason and evidence or make accusations based solely on Race, Clothing, or Gender. The only exception to this will be if you have evidence against them or they fit the description of one who is wanted.
When dealing with Drow, they are to be considered an immediate threat and dealt with swiftly by way of death. When dealing with beings of another plane of existence, then be extremely cautious of their presence and treat them fairly and in a professional, military manner according to Law until hostile action is taken against you. Furthermore, you will report their presence as soon as is reasonable and any action taken.
A Flaming Fist soldier must stay within their respected borders while on duty. The borders are as follows - Baldur’s Gate South to Nashkel. You are to stay along the Coastway unless dire needs justify actions otherwise.
Members are not permitted to grind. If one wants to grind to achieve another level, then please do so before joining the Flaming Fist.
Members should now post in the Flaming Fist Activity Thread if they have been actively patrolling. Keeping track of this is a big headache, so the players helping me out here would be great.
The Flaming Fist does not have jurisdiction over the town of Beregost or Candlekeep. The Temple of Lathander and the Watchers of Candlekeep are in control of these two areas respectively. The Fist, are, however, permitted within these areas and will help if necessary.
Anyone who joins CONSENTS TO PvP without prior warning.
I will add more here as necessary. - SirC
