Nahum has been wondering about Jadeite's departure for quite some time now. Though he knows her to be a capable sorceress, her lack of correspondence has him somewhat concerned. Attempts to scry her has proven unsuccessful and has the Exarch worried.
((Jadeite, if you have anything specific in mind and want to plan something with me, let me know))

The regular gathering of Weave Masters, Guardians, and Scouts arrive in front of Istari Tower. Exarch Nahum arrives to address the ever growing guild.
"Weave brothers and sisters. Thank you for gathering today upon my request. Pardon my lack of attention these few weeks but my duties have been sending me elsewhere. I have a few things I wish to bring to your attention.
He summons Perem, Sion, and Lana before him and faces the rest of the fellowship.
"Let it be known that Journeyman Perem Gemini has been conferred the esteemed title of Weave Magus and able to apprentice any she should see fit. And due to their religious devotion in the study of the Weave, Sion Spellfire and Lana Kelm have been conferred the title of Weave Elite Arcanist! I am proud of them both and am certain that they will soon be the guild's first High Mages. Please give them your congratulations and your esteem. All those of lower rank must pay respect warranted to their position."
He then motions for the newly ordained group to take their place back unto the crowd and summons Lyra and Clay before him.
"Although others have joined our fellowship in the recent weeks as well, let me introduce you to our newest guildsmen if you have not yet met them already. With us are our newest scout, Weave Seeker Lyra Tia’nen, and our newest guardian, Weave Sentry Clay Stoen. They represent the future of our guild. Please join me in welcoming them."

Just outside of Istari Tower, a sentry attempts in vain to express his apologies to an excited dark-haired young woman. "I'm sorry mi'lady. He is away on business to the south."
"That's what you always tell me! What's he building this tower for if he's going to live in the "south"? Hmm? Tell me.
The sentry spreads out his hands in a helpless gesture.
Are you sure he's not about? He won't mind talking to me. Are you afraid he'll bite you for bothering him? Why south anyway? Why isn't he ever in the north? You aren't a very good fibber! I'll tell you what. You let me in to see him and I'll tell him what a brave fellow you are. That'll earn you a promotion and...."
"Lady. For the umpteenth time, he's not here!"
"Well if you're going to be stubborn about it I'll make you bring him a note." She pauses a moment to write a brief message. "Here you go. Good day sir! She flashes a cheerful grin as she turns and dashes away.
The sentry lets out a long sigh as the flow of words finally stops but he dutifully takes the note and deposits it for Nahum's later viewing.
Nahum,
I'll bet you've guessed too but I know where that dragon's horde has to be. Of course the Wizards that killed him must have known all along that it's in that old abandoned mine.
Cheers! Sheritomo

“That’s the Istari Tower?” Nebbie Silverwits could not hide her disappointment, as her expectations of the tower had been way off. Nonetheless she clutched a scroll in her hands, and begun strolling with determination only to be stopped by the sentry. The sentry - having spotted her fiendish heritage had turned to somewhat rude when replying to Nebbie’s inquires of where to find Weave Master Exarch Nahum. Thing which lead to Blood War scale exchange of insults between the two. … “He’s not present at the moment, ye fiendish twat.”… … ”Like I care if your mother was an ogre married with a troll.”… Since she was not going to get to meet master Nahum, Nebbie eventually gave up and pushed the scroll to the arms of the of the Sentry, yelling him to deliver it to Nahum. With that done, she left by swinging her cape in the air as she turned away from the tower. The contents of the scroll: Heya, I’d just like to thank again for the spell, and since your lot is without a proper sign, symbol, or banner I’ve made you this. Hope you like it. Sign: Nebbie Silverwits.

Sending out a number of messengers to locate every Weave Master, Guardian, and Scout, Nahum sends word of an important meeting to be held in front of Istari Tower. When the day finally arrived, the Weave Exarch greets his guildsmen at the doorstep of the tower. There is much excited conversation as the arrivals look up at the tower which looks very much complete and at the solid Zalantar door glowing with a minor sealing spell. When the right time came, Nahum hushes everyone and begins to speak up.
"Fellow guildsmen... brothers and sisters. I am quite certain that you have come to realize the purpose of this meeting. The day has finally arrived and our guild tower is finally complete!" Excited cheers resound and without much word, Nahum taps his staff upon the door and the sealing spell vanishes. "Shall we?"
With bustling excitement, Nahum leads them through the foyer and everyone is met with two Iron Golems guarding the entrance along with an obvious dedication to Mystra, the mother of Magic. With everyone looking around, they are led to the second floor of the tower.
He then leads them the to the library and classroom. Books collected and donated by guild members line the shelves along with tables and chairs lit by the soft glow of magical spheres. Golems also stand watchful post to protect the magical and often ancient tomes maintained there. After giving everyone time to browse through the books and ruffle though the pages of the books, he then continues on with the tour.
He then leads them up to the third floor. "The rooms at the end of the hall are my quarters. Should you need me, I may be found there. The other rooms are yours to use should you need it. Given the limited space, the general quarters will not be claimed as ones own and will be used as need requires. Let me show to perhaps my favorite aspect of this tower."
He then shows them a door leading them outside. "There is limited space so only a few at a time please." People file through and is surrounded by a spectacular view of the city. The city gates can be seen at a distance but the whole expanse of Baldur's Gate can be seen as a whole. Excited talk fills the hallway as the guildsmen discuss their plans for the tower.
"Everyone, please stay as long as you wish. This is our home now. Food and drinks have been prepared in the foyer. It is good to see you all again, I will be downstairs conversing if you should need me." ((pictures will follow...)) ((Josh, you did an amazing job!! You rock! Here's a exalt point!))

Sion looked dazzled with awe as he entered the Istari Tower. "What a true wonder of architecture this is" he said with a look in his eyes, that is usually seen in the eyes of children receiving the largest Christmas gift they ever had. Sion tapped one of the iron golems, as if he was checking the quality of metal and craftsmanship. "good, very good" he said to himself, smiling pleased.
He then walked up the stairs and into the library, "Wonderful! Finally a quiet place, away from curious eyes, I can finally continue working on "Liber Arcanum". Perhaps even, a place to file a few copies".
Sion walked further up the stairs of the Istari Tower, home to the famed Weave Masters of Baldurs Gate., and down the hall where he passed the viewpoint on the outside of the tower. " What a wonderful view" he thought to himself, and continued down to the Exarchs quarters to congratulate him on getting the tower finished.....

sticking to the shadows to remain unseen, as he preferred to be, phantom makes his way to the tower. he spends an hour watching the entrance, and those who happen to be near it. when he sees a break in the pedestrian traffic, he dives out and rolls to the door. he holds up a letter against it and thrusts a dagger into the door. just as quickly, he is gone.
to your arch-mage,
i am in need of the services of your group. there are several matters in which your aid is needed. i must humbly request an audience with you to see that these matters are quickly resolved. i am also in the possession of something you may find of interest. i will bring it with me if a meeting is granted. have an apprentice seek me out in the city, i will be sure to allow myself to be found.

*Kahlen does not respond to the Exarch's summons, instead sending a brief letter via Naryldur*
Exarch,
I apologize for my failure to heed your summons directly, but I can no longer bring myself to enter the city I have called home without great discretion. The ease by which the two drow have been accepted into our region by our “guard” greatly sickens me, and I fear their failure to see the error of doing so will lead to more innocent deaths. The bounty now posted on other drow does nothing to ease my discomfort and I wrestle with how to proceed. I fear the turmoil in my heart is changing me, and the fire in my soul is growing too hot to extinguish without action…
Kahlen Wyndsoul
*The letter appears to have several blotches and smudges after the text, suggesting that Kahlen had thought to write more but couldn’t figure out what to say*

As Lyra is returning to Baldur’s Gate along the road she spots Naryldur, a fellow scout, running toward her…
“Lyra, I found you!”
“Your message for Kahlen..” *hands her her scroll* “It goes undelivered.”
“Kahlen has not been seen in over a tenday, if this message is urgent perhaps Nahum should be notified?”

Growing more concerned with the rumours she had heard and what Keagan has told her, Lyra writes a few new messages and reports for Nahum, with a request to meet with him to discuss how to proceed.

Unknown to Elias, Kahlen was watching his old friend from a rocky outcropping when he received his message from the Tower. It was as he thought then; the guild was being summoned and summoned urgently. Kahlen had earlier witnessed runners going in all directions from the Gate, and all were familiar to him as couriers used by the Exarch and his guild. Something was happening, and it was something big enough to require all hands available.
As Kahlen watched Elias stride confidently down the beaten path, he hung his head. His heart and mind felt torn between loyalty to his guild and the betrayal he felt by the dukes for allowing the drow a free pass. He sat for several minutes, contemplating his next move, and battling the welling frustration within him.
As the sun broke from behind a cloud and warmed his face, he looked up.. as the thoughts in his head blazed like fire he found the strength to pull one from the inferno. It was a memory of Kahlen, his brother Keagan, and their close friends Elias, Jhaelen, and Nahum. As the memory slowly took shape he was able to calm the maelstrom of thoughts and emotions and slowly, for the first time in weeks, begin to think clearly. He knew what he must do.
As the sun dipped behind the next cloud, a shadow was cast across the boulders where Kahlen remained hidden. In what seemed to be a blink of an eye he was gone.. the only trace was the a rustle in the grass, moving in the direction of the Istari Tower.

The following letter is found by all active Weave Scouts, hidden in places near to their resting spots, their belongings, or right in their path.
A slightly altered copy is found in Tarsakh's glade as well...
Fellow Guildsman,
It is with great shame and a feeling of absolute betrayal that I find myself writing these letters. Each of you will receive a copy, in hopes that word travels as quickly as possible.
Not a night has past since I was relayed some very troubling news. It seems that members of our guild were spotted and clearly found to be speaking with and cooperating with a vile dark elf, deep in the cloakwood. It is not without great consternation that I say that this disgusts me moreso than any possible act of foul magics, as it dishonors my Mother's life and death..as well as my very faith... to do anything but serve quick death upon any of their sick race.
Furthermore, when asked by a widely respected, upstanding servant of justice to aid in the apprehension and interrogation of said Drow, our Exarch as well as fellow guildsman, Clay Stoen and the one known as Raz did not use their great mastery of the weave to help. Indeed they stood idly by as the robed, hooded dark elf ran into the darkness.
It is, then, without any confusion as to why I renounce all ties with this Gods forsaken guild, and hearby call all of my fellow Elves to do so as well.. for cooperation with such treachery will only hasten our already declining influence in this region.
It was overheard that this dark elf spoke of a drow settlement not a tenday's ride from our city.. and that our leadership and this abomination may have been bartering a seat in our very guild for the location of this enclave.
With Shevarash as my witness, I will find this city of drow, and give my life toward its destruction.
Alone but with Honor,
Kahlen Wyndsoul

The following letter is scratched deeply into a piece of parchment, written hastily and in a hand writing not like that seen in his previous letters.. it is stuck to the door of the Istari tower on the end of a magical arrow.
Nahum,
The level of disappointment I have for you cannot be measured in mere words. It has been reported to me by an unimpeachable source that you have been consorting with the foul drow, and knowing what you know of my history you will not be surprised to learn that I renounce all feelings of duty I had to you.

The letter is found by Nahum and he reads it in his study. He reads it with sadness and his heart seems heavy although he does not readily show it. He looks outside his tower balcony as if hoping to get a glimpse of his former Overwatch. After a long moment of silence, he returns inside and pens a missive. ~~~~~ooo~~~~~ Kahlen,
It is with great sadness that I read your letter and pen this response. I do not know where you are receiving your information, but I fear nonetheless that your thirst for revenge has blinded you --- so easily that our years of friendship did not warrant enough for a conversation to hear my side of things. Perhaps consider that you did not hear the full truth.
Be it as it may, if your wish is to depart our fellowship, I will not stop you. I only pray that the darkness in your heart will not fully consume you. I pray someday that compassion will replace the vengeance that now has captured your heart. May we meet again one day under favorable terms. May the Seldarine guide your path.
Signed, Nahum
