Here's something I saw on another server: DMs gave small XP rewards for good RP posts on the forums. It's a way of encouragin background stories, bios, etc. (50-100XP each, for instance). When a DM awarded the XP, they jumped to the forum and edited the post to something like "75XP Award, DM So-n-So." It could help getting more players active on the forums.

some restoration potions and/or scrolls are needed. the poison from the wyverns sap me down to a 0 CON.
some base crafting equipment would be nice. blank scrolls, bone wands and the like. you could even have someone selling ore for smithing.

1) Trashcans! Please have a way of getting rid of all those "broken items," and scores of bolts and arrows that players want to throw away.
2) Get Maltz an apprentice in his store that only handles item/armor/weapon modification. Considering he's only one of two working merchants now on the server it's a bit frustrating when another player is keeping him busy while changing items and you cannot access his store.

Right now there is a script that gets rid of items on the ground after them being there for like 10 seconds. For the time being, if you have some broken items, you can just toss them on the floor (in a secluded place) and they'll eventually disappear.

Heres some of the things i would like to see:
Hobgoblins. The Sword Coast has alot of Hobgoblin brigands in the wilderness especialy the Chill Mercenaries who eventualy end up working for the Iron Throne.
The Friendly Arm Inn. Didnt it say in Baldur's Gate: Throne Of Bhaal that the Temple of Bhaal where the protaganist was born then Gorion, Bently Mirrorshade and the gang showed up and saved the day etc eventualy was converted into the Friendly Arm In? Baldur's Gate 1 was set in 1368 DR and the protaganist is 20 years old (Even if you're a longer lived race it still says you're twenty for some reason) So in 1351 he would be three.
I could be very wrong about this but the Friendly Arm Inn should have been established by Bently and his wife in 1348 DR.
The Order Of The Most Radiant Heart. Would be great to have this Paladin Order since they are big shots on the Sword Coast and Paladin characters could even become members after long and grueling trials..they are elite after all (Also i think Fighter/Clerics like Anomen can join aswell).
Tamoko. If i am right Tamoko should be a little girl, 8-10 years old at the most.
Check the strengths of different monsters. One thing i noticed is Goblins give more exp than Ogres..shouldnt this be the other way around? I mean Ogres are pretty high up on the food chain and Ogre Magi especially
All of the Sword Coast. I know this is crazy but it would be cool if you could eventualy add all of the Sword Coast. The regions of Waterdeep and Neverwinter to the north and the countries of Amn and then Tethyr to the south.
More loot. When a chest appears it usually gives generous loot but loot does not appear often enough. The prices of things look about the same as they are in the Campaign which is great but loot drops are too far and inbetween in my opinion.
Keep up the good work everyone.

Great server guys and gals. I love that you actually care what the players opinions are and want to hear them.
1. Mabye i'm missing it, but where is the low level dungeons? I found the bandit cave and the crypt with a few skellies and zombies (really, a crypt with on 4 undead in it? Need a ton more mobs in there to make it feel impossing and dangerous. You should want to have a friend there to help keep you safe, not feel like your boring them), but niether were really an adventure. There was no bad guy at the end running the show etc. I would love to see these areas fleshed out and finish. These are the areas that are gonna hook the new players as they will see thesee areas first.
2. Quests, quests, quests. More quests. Simple ones. The wolf pelt quest is the perfect example. Mabye add another one to kill birds or something to protect the fields outside the east gate or to bring back gnoll/goblin/minator ears/horns? Quests give goals so that players are not mindlessly grinding for gold or levels and feel like they are accomplishing things.
3. Great tool I have seen before on another server. One of the widget capabilities you could add would be to check for level matches. You select that ability from the widget and it sends a notification to anyone within 5 levels of you (or what ever the grouping limit is) and tells them that you are looking for a group.

Heres a pile of suggestions that I'd love to see : - Keep the People in the City! : Find a way to make the city more interesting, make more merchants, quests and other things. This is Baldur's Gate and its supposed to be a very big city, so there should be a lot of opportunities for everyone. - XP Revisions : Players should commonly get around 20-30 XP when defeating enemies (Maybe 40-60 when defeating bosses, or other important characters) who are around their level. - Loot Revisions : No enemies should drop treasure chests, instead you should be able to loot from their corpse (also enemies should drop items more often). Treasure chests should be around in areas like caves, crypts or other enemy outposts, its also very important that they respawn. - Gem Bank : I think it would be a cool idea to have a sort of gem bank (got this idea from SoH). This is where you can sell only your gems and crystals and get good prices for them, this would make gems a lot more valuable (which is what they are! - Item Values : Items should be worth a bit more than they are. Also if you sell your sword to a blacksmith or a weapon merchant, you should get bigger value from him than from a wizard merchant. - More NPC merchants! : Merchants should be everywhere (outside or inside areas) esspecially in a big city like Baldur's Gate. This will also mean that you guys should make more weapons, armors and other items (perhaps you could open up a "weapon/armor suggestion" thread for us to help you with) - More Custom Content From Nwvault! : Nothing cooler than more diversity in appearances. Here are some links of the finest custom content! nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=352 (ACME Assault & Hattery) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=336 (Atoms Armory) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=312 (DMCB: Yeoman of the Greenwood) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=138 (Always Summer: Alternate Clothing and Armor v3) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=302 (SunSilk Shields) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=305 (BTH Shield Pack) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=223 (Hoods) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=14 (Adonnay's Elven Weaponry) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=281 (Hair Extensions) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=62 (Whatbrick's NWN2 "MotB" Character Customization Collection) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=244 (Backpacks) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=198 (Subraces Pak Beta) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=192 (Sunlee's Portable Banner) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=190 (ATShield Set) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=125 (Hatsplosion! Hat & Helmet Pack) nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=NWN2HakpaksOriginal.Detail&id=100 (Aribeth and Valsharesss' Armor 2.1) - More Quests Focused in the Baldur's Gate City : Like for example how about a cellar under the Tavern you spawn in, where players need to kill rats for the bartender? This would make players more common to find around the city. All of these suggestions are based on my experience on some of the best Roleplay servers in NwN, and I'm pretty sure that this will soon become one of them.

Please take into consideration the whole level range when you make suggestions like this..... Could you imagine trying to level between say level 25-26 at 20-30 xp a monster? Would take you months The experience should scale compared to your level as it does at the moment.

Forgot to add when after your "first lvl", that xp amount slightly increases from 20-30 depending on your enemy. You shouldn't be able to get to lvl 6 or 8 in day, and neither should it too easy for high lvls.

Unlimited ammo for throwing weapons. The way you have to re-equip stacks is very painful and it will cause you to break combat modes, ie rapid shot, midfight, or rush into enemies instead of keeping distance.

Otherwise, i think level 5-8 is fine after 24 hrs of gameplay. Also a day depends on the player doesnt it? For some people "a day" is over 9 hrs on the server, while for some people "a day" is only 2 hours. We should really gauge these sort of things in hours rather than days since peoples days are so different.

The exp amount is great how it is right now, playing online games should be as casual as possible and shouldnt be a royal pain to advance your character. I also like the fact that this is the first server ive played on that actualy has monsters and enemies with proper amounts of HP. The other four servers ive played on all had a thing for level 5 brigands with 200 hp and such.
I forgot to add before that if a world map was added that would be awsome.

Oh I think it would be cool to have an underdark as well (I'm sure JL could conjure up something real neat)...a place for drow, duergar, svirfneblins, beholders, displacer beasts, illithids, etc....etc. And maybe a secret entrance leading down to it somewhere from the surface in case PCs either bravely or foolhardedly want to go down there (which they will).

The underdark is already in the works mate, Hells is doing some areas for it and JLF will finish it up.
As for the hak packs, some of those suggested above are already in, or coming in. But keep in mind we are limited on size, and a majority of those haks are to big, or dont offer enough content to make them worth while. Also the shield packs, one of those has all of the packs put together and more, if we were to add one of them, it would be the inclusive one.
As for the XP, its still inadjusting stages, it may go up, or it may go down, that choice is left to the Dev team and their own vision, though talk of a widget to be added has been suggested before.
The unlimited ammo for throwing weapons I dont see happening anytime if at all. The only way to do this is to possibly add the boomerang property to it. However by doug this is drastically increases the level requirement for the weapon, and increases the price. Both of which keep them out of the hands of the lower levels wishing to use them.
Great suggestions everyone, keep them coming! -Ice

More Baldur's Gate monsters: Gibberlings, Xvarts, Tasolai, Hobgoblins, Ghouls, Ghasts, Wild Dogs etc.
Music from the Baldur's Gate series maybe?
Weapons, armour etc from the Baldur's Gate series.
Medium magic level. From what i have seen the server is at the moment a low magic setting. In my opinion a low magic setting is just as bad as one with +9 equipment, damage resistance immunities to everything. Low magic settings kill off many classes mainly Fighters, Paladins and Rangers, classes with little or no casting ability. And they promote people to just make Spellcasters, Clerics, Druids, Favoured Souls, Spirit Shamens etc (As if they arent overpowered enough) who can just buff up and cast +5 on their weapons/armour giving them a huge advantage.
Take Paladins for example, as if Obsidian didnt gimp them enough already, a Paladin without a Holy Avenger weapon by level 12-15 is worthless.
In my opinion +5 equipment should be attainable by levels 15-20 and +6 should be extremely rare and legendary, maybe only 3 or 4 items in the game.
