Just a thought, since there are alot of new feats and such. I am not complaining mind you, nor am I adament about my last post. Just expressing an idea incase there are lots of PCs who want remakes. I may ask for one redo myself eventually, of my warlock for those infernal feats. It seems someone didn't like my last post, because I have -1 Karma now. OUCH that's harsh true

It seems someone didn't like my last post, because I have -1 Karma now. OUCH that's harsh I actually expected that to happen after seeing how the last server wipe discussion went. But, I claim innocence on this one. By the way, I certainly hope that half the people on the server don't want a remake of their characters to get the new stuff. If it were me, I'd just make a new character. Surprise!

Well, a forced wipe would discourage many, but a "renove program" in form of benefits for a low level character if you volunteer to retire a character. That would reduce the average level of the server.

A server wipe after beta is over. After playing SOZ for a few days and experiencing some of the new classes and new feats, I felt like I needed to remake my 2 charcters (level 18 and 15). Certain things have been changed which handicap them, other things (feats, etc) which I don't have, would greatly enhance them (for RP reasons or general effectiveness). I'm sure there are a few other people out there that feel the same way, or who already have char remakes in the works. With all the new content and being the server is still in beta it might make more sense to start everything over versus remake/releveling half the char on the PW. The DMs have always been gracious and patient here with char relevels, which is cool. On some PW it's blasphemy to ask a dm that. Has the server even stated it will run SOZ yet? SOZ has some really nice things that would be great to include like the new creatures, classes, and AI upgrades. But some things seem like they would need major tweaking to put in an online persistant world. Especially crafting. It's to easy in SOZ to build uber weapons and armor as they require no component cost at all. All you need is gold and you get all the goodies like 1d6 fire, 1d6 cold, +2, +3, +4, etc, etc.

Once you find a recipe say for +1 armor, the cost is 500 gold to echnant. So you can pretty much line up every piece of armor and shield in the party and give them all +1 at 500 gold each. All 1d6 elemental enchantments are 4000 gold. So as long as you have the gold, you can pile on elemental enchantments to. And they work on bows in SOZ, so even archers can woop some ass with fancy enchanted bows. They seemed to get it right with Wonderous items mostly. Those at least still require components you have to go find to craft them (similar to the gem/essence combo in the OC + MOTB). So you can't go crank out belts of giant strength for all your warriors unless you find all the components needed.

Making it with just gold is such a dumb idea that i feel dumber just by listening to it. However, back on topic, I am sure these recipes can be implemented *or not* in a PW, so really I see no danger.

I'd like to see Pixies or whatever, that dispell magic in areas to lower the high Ac of casters. Making fighters with a weaker Ac still, but needed as party members in the tougher combat areas. The game has perverted the AC of casters to be better than what the fighter can obtain which is a big mistake overall if you ask me.

Support for the SoZ classes, feats and backgrounds?
I want to see some burning hands and eyes. ;D
'course there's some quirks to work out, like the aforementioned stupidly easy crafting...

Something I just thought of.. Maybe this is planned/suggested already, but if it's possible, perhaps a piece of flavor text about the area you're entering on the loading screen could be a nice touch? If so, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to do it early, so it doesn't become a large burden when the place is finished with 150+ areas.
