Since the latest patch I have been killed twice by minor traps.
The first one I simply ran over and was killed by Physical, Fire, Divine, Cold, Lightning, & Negative Energy multiple times. Over 80 hit points of damage. Wow those gnolls could conquer the world with traps like that. After speaking with the DM, I got a partial refund of exp.
Just now I went back to the gnoll/bhaal temple area and fought my way in careful to avoid the trap that kill me, that was coming up as a minor trap. I disabled two of the outside chests, and then looked at the trap outside the temple. It says fire trap, minor. So I attempt to disable it. Again - about 20 traps set off, I am 11th level with false life, and bears endurance on me. Over 90 HP and all I see is trap triggered over and over - then death.
I was assuming these traps would scale with the encounter area, not be the mother of all bombs. Is this a miscalculation? If this is intended I wont be approaching the temple again and I feel real sorry for lower level players. I simply do not have the time to be taking multiple 1100 points hits per day.

If it makes you feel any better, I completely concur the traps have gone WAY overboard. There are multiple traps in small areas, and not only that, but multiple traps ON TOP of each other. It's somewhat ridiculous. Traps on the floors/doors are fine.. but not multiple traps stacked on top of each other, and on every door, etc. Hopefully this isn't intended.

Yeah I do have to give this post my approval. I am level 20 atm buffed up my HP sits about 240 ish, not the greatest, but more than sufficient in the gnoll area. I was checking a few chests there and walked across a trap that was in the front of the temple door. I died instantly. About 15 traps set off at once and took my soul to Myrkul. I am now taking a huge exp hit because i died to 15 or more minor traps in the same area. I don't think this is right either.

I agree, I this a scripting issue or is this how it is intended. I had the same issue with traps in the orc cave. I can understand traps dealing major damage in certain areas, but not ones that are double and tripled stacked.
I was in the frost fortress a couple of hours ago, I ran over an area and nothing happed, two others followed, the third went over the area and got hit with a trap that did about 200 damage. The trap spawned out of now were, and know one saw it. Are traps supposed to be doing that much damage. I'm glad we had a cleric in my party, if we didn't we would have been completly screwed. I was chatting with another who told me that that a lvl 13 rogue with good states couldn't even spot them in certain areas were the monsters are only about cr 5 or 6.
Is it a glitch, intended, or an accident. IDK but these traps seem to spawn as often as the chests reset and hit harder then any monster I've seeing crit, that includes frosties, dragons, balors, and even fully buffed solars.

*Durak casually walks over and removes a stack of traps and places them in his pack* "Ye all just need ta look harder, slow down n' quit runnin all the damn time!" Durak then makes his way to the door and removes that trap as well, closing the door behind him for the next adventurer....All you hear is a laugh that echos throughout the dungeon. "Mwahahahaha!"

I do like the fact that the traps are there, but the dc to disarm alone is a bit high I think. The dc to disarm traps in the kobold ruins is in the low 30's for minor traps.

Like I said earlier, I have no problem with traps being present on floors/doors in dungeon areas.
However, stacking multiple traps on the same spot is silly. Furthermore, having 3+ trap spots in a small area (like the outside of the Temple of Bhaal for example) doesn't really make that much sense either, to me.. but the stacked traps are what're really ridiculous.
And yes, the disable DCs are abnormally high.

I've noticed this too, the DC is ridiculous! I only have 13disable device and I cannot even disarm most minors.

Keep in mind the people who are making fun of others for requesting a lower level DC are *cough* epic PCs. However, places such as the Temple of Bhaal are meant for lower levels.

dude, i got hit there for over 100 damage earlier today. there were at least 15 traps on the same spot. i think what's happening is that the traps are spawning, but if they aren't removed, they build up. so if 15 people go through the area, there's 15 traps spawned in the same spot. then the unlucky sap who walks over them next gets all 15 on his head. then they start building up again.
coincidentally, i tried to remove the first 3 or 4 layers and they were all a DC of around 30.
