I would like to add one more thing also. The Minotaur quest is an awesome idea, but wow!! that place is getting crowded.Major farming going on there now.Next thing you know, folks will be fighting over who gets to kill the next minotaur.

Couldn't someone kill a couple bulls at Jorn's farm, take the horns and pass them off for Minotaur horns? That could make for some fun RP or a DM event.

I would not do it if the player said no. I can deal with the competition. If you are in a group and have a low level, then work something out. I would encourage RP; it makes the farming easier. Edit: I put the poll up because I assumed many people were happy about the adds, and wanted to verify it. People are not polling. most folks seem to be saying stuff. Edit: I am a number two

Maybe the higher the level of a PC that is present there will dictate how many spawn and how often?

I have enjoyed the Minotaur update as it provides good experience for my char, a good reward, and a challenge.
While the traffic there has increased quite a bit.. ive seen a lot of lower lvl players get whacked.. so lesson learned. I think its only a matter until more worthwhile loots are implemented on other creatures to disperse the levels.
at least now when people make a new character they dont have to compete against higher end chars who are 1 hit pimp smacking wolves.
and if it makes anyone feel better i got killed yesterday and lost tons of xp for picking up 1 too many horns and encumbering myself.. greeeed... it will get ya

dude, the minotaurs have been a lifesaver man. phantom burns through an unbelievable amount of gold just buying scrolls. before, he was pretty much crippled. now he's able to compete.

I don't want to sound greedy but the lack of loot in the dungeons does make it hard to get enthused about going into them.
I wouldn't care if the items found were books and art objects worth little or nothing to the majority of players. A book might be used for entry into the library at candlekeep, or perhaps finding the heirloom onyx kitten might trigger a quest to find it's owner.
A pommel could be a piece of an epic weapon, a coveted holy avenger or vorpal weapon that has been missing for years. Scripts might be written that allow the parts to be used to increase a weapon's power (replace a weapon with a weapon that incorporates the magics found in the part, these replacements can become stronger as the additional parts are found).
just a thought.

On a positive note the ore quest was a challenge, especially the third level. An Item made from a magical metal might be a better reward.
A darksteel shield is a nice thing to have.

I haven't missed the dungeon loot much as only one of my three PCs likes to go in dungeons. The other two avoid them. However, my next one will likely be another dungeon crawler, so I'll look forward to having rewards there.

My dear devs, admins and others I do not criticise you for lack of action as I know your eyes as mine after another night shift This thread is your vault of ideas how to make economy happen And so it should be treated by players, what happens now I think. I believe that the sources of money should more scarce than the way we can spend it - You can't have everything. My ideas are for the jailing system. Fines and menial labour. Ok that's for the thieves. Housing - either you rent a room in an inn let's say once a RL day or buy a house, or suffer from fatigue. Tent's will do for rangers and druids and barbarians (other classes?) or survival skill instead. but the rest needs some proper rest. Idea to be developed. Performance award - for bards. You play and enjoy the crowd? The inn-keeper gets a nice business there. You can be paid depending on how many people reside in the tavern. Guilds - developing - costy business. I will post more when I have some more time to do that.
