For any that visit Baldur's Gate, a large imposing tower stands just one block south of Elf Song Tavern. Any citizen asked about it will reveal that it is called Istari Tower and is home to a fellowship of the Arcane. The guild is led by a man named Nahum who is rumored to be an apprentice of Elminster. They apparently claim to be students of the Weave and seek to master its understanding hence calling themselves the Weave Masters. They also claim to be its protectors and promote the responsible use of the Weave thus inviting favor from Mystra herself. Those of arcane background seem somewhat compelled to look into the guild. Some find it as a potential home although some have found it to be an adversary to overcome. www.theswordcoast.proboards89.com/index.cgi?board=faction&action=display&thread=879

Word begins to spread around Baldur's Gate and in the surrounding countryside that the Weave Masters recently started a new branch within their guild. Apparently, the multiple portal openings through out the land, the frequent undead manifestations, and the recent attacks on the guild caused the leadership to consider maintaining a vigilant eye through out the countryside. No official posting can be seen at Istari Tower, found one block south of Elf Song Tavern, but those savvy at gathering information find out that it is true. theswordcoast.proboards89.com/index.cgi?board=faction&action=display&thread=879&page=1

For those that spend any amount of time in the city of Baldur's Gate, they notice a large tower just south of Elfsong Tavern. More rumors begin to surface that they are beginning to recruit guardians. You pass by the tower and you see a bulletin in expensive paper written in professional script. ~~~~~~ooo~~~~~~ Let the readers of this notice be made aware that the Weave Masters are seeking guardians of good repute. We promote the responsible use of the Weave and away from dark Extra-Planar grasp. Loyalty to a Weave Master brings along with it the magic that will increase your fighting potential twice or thrice fold. Once our economy has approached full swing, consider yourself armed with enchanted weapons and armor. Warriors and most professions are welcome --- even the divine. If you are not yet equipped with arms or armor, you will be equipped so ((up to full plate armor and one weapon, un-enchanted for now until we can develop an economy and/or crafting)). Send notice to Weave Exarch Nahum or Weave Captain Keagan if you are interested. ~~~~~~ooo~~~~~~
((Guild Information: theswordcoast.proboards89.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=faction&thread=879&page=1Weave Guardian post is on third entry))

an odd note is found attached to one of the iron golems' kneecaps
dear blanket people,
i got told that you guys do magics and can make good stuff. zeb casts magics. zeb can make good stuff. so zeb wants a job. zeb wants a giant metal man. zeb wants a sandwich too. stomach's making sounds again. maybe head blanket knows a good place to get one. one that uses fresh stuff, cause nothing hurts more than eating rotten food. lotsa beer sometimes helps, but it's kinda messy. unless you got people to clean up. maybe you do, cause you sure got a big place here. how much you gotta pay in rent? cause zeb would like a big building too.
from zeb

Lyra makes it known to a few people that she is actively looking for new scouts....
((We have a total of TWO active scouts on the surface, me included. New blood would be great...))

*a message appears on the wall inside Istari tower*
To those who may be interested,
I recently noticed your tower and saw the notice explaining your need for scouts. I happen to be talented in that art to a bit of an extent. If you are still excepting new members, I'd be interested.
Sincerely, Elvirin Telrond

Encouraged by his new rank, Foggy travels the lands between the Gate and Beregost looking for possible prospects to join the ranks of the weave masters. He asks everyone he sees if they are interested to join but has no luck in finding anyone. A bit frustrated he writes up a poster asking for people to join and uses a multiplication cantrip to make several copies, he starts to put up these posters along the most traveled roads.

Foggy knocks on Elias's room door but hears no answer, he writes up a note reporting the results of his Recruitment spree and slips it under the door.
Master Elias it seems ma poster on tha Bulletin Board proved ta be most effective in bringin new blood ta our ranks, on these past few days I was happy ta induct 5 new membars, they seem like stand up fellas, and I'm sure they'll make us proud.
I'll leave you their names and class.
-Robin Wildwood - Weave Scout
-Kain - Weave Master
-Seadin Aleros - Weave Scout
-Anderick Goodmane - Weave Guardian
-Smir Luandavin - Weave Master
I'm really happy ta be able ta help tha Masters grow, thanks again fer tha oportunity ta do so Master.
With ma best wishes. WM McGee.
