I have to agree. Wolves are where the good stuff is. Not only are you guaranteed 25gp a wolf, but sometimes they drop healing potions/kits and up to 150gp.
Also, I already got some books off lizardmen, but I haven't seen any in a while. Two were history books and one was recipes for magic rings/belts of protection.
I can't wait until there's loot in the dungeons.

My money is still on Gobo's. I like them cause they arnt 9hp weaklings like in most campaigns!

Im hoping eventually a randomized loot system could be made for each monster type...Mintotaurs and goblinoids would have all sorts of nice shineys they collected, sometimes nothing, sometimes paydirt. Wolves drop hides...treants...i dont know maybe darkwood blocks...stuff that makes sense for each monster, not sure how to do it, system we have now works, but if anyone has the time this would be very nice to have.

Yes. A titrated algorithm for loot based on level of difficulty and rarity would be ideal for this mod. Of course, this would be randomized and preferred. there's at least one on the vault, but it would require another hak to come in. which could add some unforeseen problems, such as lag. i'm not positive as far as nwn2 goes, but in nwn1 haks could conflict and cause an assload of lag and a whole slew of other problems. they had to be merged in order to work right. however, if someone knows how to do that, cdaulepp's random loot generator looks like it would do the job well.

I am starting to wonder about why I get 14gp from a treant every like ten treants. Of course it is strange to get gold at all from one, but the fight is a difficult one for low leveled folk that meet them for the first time. The xp reward is nice even at a mid levels, but the loot is not up to par including the other stuff that sometimes pops up. All the buffs needed to fight them make it better to stay and kill injured minotaurs. Still, the loot is lacking compared to hunting wolves. I´m not the one who sets gold above everything but I have to agree with that. The only profitable monsters in the server are the wolves. Then it´s kind of a waste of time for higher lvl chars to kill wolves while they could get some gold by facing more adequate challenges.

Like the pelts there might be another 'loot' item from different enemy types that the PC could sell to merchants (or a quest item like the wolf pelts) for cash. Treants dropping enchanted bark or something that could be sold to alchemists for example; Im thinking along the lines of WoW's 'white' items that have monitary value but do little practical in the game. If it was expensive crafting related items you would unbalance the economy and cause the server to be a very high magic environment whereas a useless sellable item wouldn't affect the server really... if you catch my drift

I am wondering how people get those cool weapons (the ones that glow and do special damage). I have not seen a lot of weapons in the stores that compare to what I see in game. I am guessing this is quest related, but I have little idea on how to find such a quest.

I am guessing this is quest related, but I have little idea on how to find such a quest. It's not quest related. Here are ways people get nice weapons. 1) Buy them from the smithy in Beregost. Really pricey, though. 2) Class features/spells. Druids get flame weapon, Pally's and clerics can enchant their weapons to do dmg, etc. 3) DM Wizard every now and then runs a Day of Red Trade, where his Red Wizard's sell weapons. I've only seen him sell adamantine, cold iron, +1 and +2 weapons. I'll let him speak for that, though.

Sometimes. But you can get gold and gems, healing kits and potions from other monsters. But is random. The wolves always give you at least 25 with the pelt.

I don't know anyone who has a weapon that has been enchanted by crafting. Do you? Valek has a sword he bought from Beregost and Ne has a kama. That's all I've seen.

Actually i got that sword a long time ago, when Ice was doing the Merchants. Like 4 months ago or something. Valek was lvl 5. lol. The entire population was there. 7 players. lol

No what I meant about crafting is that it should be implemented so we do have to worry about all this BS about gold and what not, We can just collect the materials which should a quite some time, and get our stuff crafted...
