While fighting the wolves today, a weird thing happened. My character got flattened in one blow by a wolf. After he died, the wolf just disappeared after a few seconds and left remains behind. This happened just as the DM said the server was going to be reset. But, the same problem occurred another time afterwards when my character was hit. There were no other players in the map that I could see.
I looked at the status bar to see if my character had hit the wolf at the same time and maybe lag caused a delay, but there wasn't any hit recorded.

Yeah, the same thing happens when you leave an area. Everything chasing you instantly dies and leaves remains. There's a fix either already available or in the works, I think.

I think that when last PC leaves from area, all creaturs are despawned (not killed), though there might be a small bug in despawn script cause it leaves the loot. Maby dev is using "KillCreature" or "Death" function in despawn script instead of "DestroyObject"? This is likely the reason. BUT HEY! Stop whining, its more loot for you *pointing with finger*

DestroyObject is being used. I have sent another update to Daroff. It should fix this problem.

Actually if you could elaborate for me on this issues perhaps I can offer my insight.
when you are struck down by a creature and go into bleeding mode, all the creatures around you slowly disappear and leave no remains behind. This is to give you a chance while recovering from the mortal wound. So no one hits you while your bleeding out (in their eyes your dead) but if you do survive and regain, there isnt anything to quickly strike you down again.
However if this is something else, like you were hit once, and still standing and the creature went poof.. then there is a problem with that. -Ice

Say what? I think you mean if the CPU is overloaded then the scripts will not fire. I don't think that is happening here. -driller i try to explain quickly if the server isnt a real server, scripts will not always fire

When a player dies, he becomes an invalid object. Well, for some functions anyway. The spawner will then cleanup the area as it appears no one is there. The reason you have loot bags is because the default OC treasure script is putting items on mobs when they spawn. I have sent Daroff a small update that will stop this from happening. But the time my character was killed, the wolf proceeded to chew my bleeding character into tiny bits until he was ALL dead. Then the wolf disappeared and left his remains as I shipped out to the respawn area.
