A young, well dressed elfling (Valenthel Wyndsoul) walks proudly into the Flaming Fist garrison, asking to speak with someone who is able to take a report of lawlessness. When led to whoever is on duty he reports the following:
A day past, as I walked the road just south of Jorn’s farm I was approached by a large, hulking half-orc in a hood and mask. He spoke urgently of needing my assistance with defending some injured gnomes from some unknown threat in a well just down the road, and explained that the gnomes were ‘bleeding’ and that time was of the essence. Not one to trust an orc, especially a masked orc, I questioned him about my ability as a frail elfling to assist such a brute in defending said gnomes from whatever it is that he was scared to confront alone. Frustrated, he ran off.
I followed the orc back down the road, intent on slipping into the well undetected if possible and to help the gnomes if indeed there were any.
As I approached the well I overheard this character delivering the same story of injured gnomes to another traveler (description of Jor El follows) who unfortunately was too eager to lend aid.
Slipping into the well before they approached, I hid and allowed the two to pass me as they made their way inside. Tracking them undetected, the traveler (Jor El) was soon led to a dark room at the back of the well’s cave system, where he was attacked and mutilated by the orc. Fearful for my safety, and unsure of any accomplices, I only watched in horror as the half orc plucked an eye from the traveler and laughed his hideous laugh as the man lay half-conscious.
It was after this attack and as I determined my battle plans that the orc began talking to the man.. telling him of a gift he wanted to bestow upon him.. and unveling himself and providing his name.
Bozz. (Description of Bozz follows – I had a clear view of his face and his ‘normal’ attire here – the white wolf cloak, etc). Bozz went on and on about how he was going to infect this traveler and make him a Lycan.
As he bit the poor man I could stomach no more and unleashed a barrage of spells toward him. Quickly turning upon me, it was by grace of my gifts that I was able to elude him in the cave, all the while pestering him and doing my best to take him down with my limited knowledge of the arcane. During our fray the traveler ran from the well. His whereabouts are unknown.
After a bit of fight Bozz ran in cowardice, as all orcs do, and I was unable to subdue him. As I left the well in chase he grabbed me, allowing a very clear look at his face, and threw me back down the well. Alas by the time I shook off the pain of the fall he was long gone.
Finished with the initial report, Valenthel waits for any follow up questions before leaving.
