Those that ventured by the Flaming Fist Headquarters last would have witnessed a chaotic scene. Soldiers and guardsmen rushed about, searching the Headquarters and the nearby city streets with great urgency, harshly questioning all that were out and about at such a late hour… Anyone who is stopped by the frantic patrols would have been questioned about the whereabouts of a man known as Bael, and an elven wizard known as Aurican… and if they had recently seen anyone not in Fist uniform leaving the Headquarters…
The search continues long into the night, and the streets are patrolled by several groups of soldier until the sun rises...
As morning comes, members of the Fist are informed that the prisoner known as Bael has escaped from his cell, and is now loose about the city. Members of the Fist (or anyone else) that visit the scene of the escape in the jail witness the doors of two prison cells shattered and half-melted, as if a great fiery force had been flung against them… the prison guards suspect that the two prisoners, Bael and Aurican, most likely had outside help in escaping…
//If any of the members of the Fist question the prison guards, they’ll learn that on the day of the breakout, a woman in armor and with hair of white was seen skipping about the halls of the headquarters, rambling on about “apple and carrots.” The guards assumed that she was insane, but before they could apprehend her, she darted out into the city streets and vanished…

Those who know the man known as Bael well enough, and have heard of his escape, may be confused at first. Many witnesses to his arrest noted that he went along willingly, and those who spoke with him after know that he appeared convinced that he would beat the charges leveled against him.
Why would a man so convinced he'd see freedom soon bother to escape? It seems an irrational move, even for a man known for irrational behaviour...
