Glad I could cause a laugh!
I tend to swing wildly between "funny" and "caustic" in my posts. Though sometimes it is some hell-ridden combination of the two.
But seriously... 7 of 9 = hot. Dianna Troy = hot (even with her 80's hair).

Just saw it tonight and thought it was good and all.. but I dont think they gave enough background information and stuff before they just thrust you into non stop action all the way through. The effects were top notch and I especially liked the way they made it so it seemed like no main character was safe and could die at any minute... except Kirk maybe.
Eric Bana didnt really have much of a part to play in the movie and his character and purpose wasnt fleshed out terribly well, i'd say was its biggest flaw. Overall good stuff.

Saw it yesterday. I liked it as a movie, but not as a Star Trek movie. It's worth seeing, and I think it's great on it's own. But as a Trekkie, it felt more like an homage to Star Wars than Trek. Plot was almost nonexistant as well. Lookin forward to the sequels now that they've setup the characters (somewhat ). I'd like to see the next movie have a better realized villain. Nero was really random, and it just felt like J.J. Abrams was hamstrung by time in developing the large cast so a lot of cuts had to be made. I hope when the DVD is released that there's some cut scenes that didn't make the movie that fleshes out the story more. *shrug* Anyways, in short: Good movie? Yes. Star Trek movie? Not so much... Wrath of Khan still rules the roost for Star Trek movies IMHO.
