Seriously if you guys help write simple quests like the wolf hide quest or Maltz we can get them in a lot faster. So go on and give it a shot. you can post them here or send them to me in a message.

Errr, I can't script to save my life: I've never tried. But I can throw out a ton of ideas for quests if you want them.

I think what he is lookin for is the basic format.. you write up the dialouge and different options for the conversation (along with different outcomes) and they copy and paste it in with the scripting tags.. They arent askin for you to script anything out -Ice

Can someone post an example? I may be able to help if I know what one looks like. Or PM me. If I have two or three an examples, I can go from there. I'm a good communicator most of the time. Also, some names of common BG NPC's and a brief one sentence description would be helpful, too. Something like, "Ragefast: Stubborn human Sage" or something like that.
If all you need is some accurate conversational dialog/trees to help shape quests, I can help.

Cool, that helps. I'll let my imagination run a bit wild and think of some cool quests to create to expand beyond the pelt quest and weapon shop quest. Who should I PM them to?
Okay, here are some possible starting quests. Driller or Jlf, let me know if there are any you'd like to see.
Town Quest Examples Girl lost her kitten. Package from one temple to another. Militia member misplaced his orders somewhere in the tavern. Love letter from a boy to a girl needs to be delivered. Local sage needs a certain tome. Wagon repairman needs lumber from store. Temple holy symbol was stolen by street thug, retrive it. Tavern is low on ale or food supplies.
Adventuring Quest Examples Mage requires beholder eyestalk. Armorer needs Umber Hulk hides. The infamous "rats in the cellar" quest. Goblin bounty in Beregost. Fists want Minotaurs cleared from the Cloakwood. Reclaim left item in destroyed town (foot of Cloudpeeks). Orcs have taken caravan goods. Bounty for gnoll chief's head.
Hmm, that's a start. Let me know what you think.

I've never played around with the Toolset, but I can write dialog with the format driller gave me. You want those quests marked/modified in yellow first?
Also, how about the wyvern egg quest for a snotty cook in Beregost. 1) Some funny dialog and 2) the quest is a bit closer than running all the way back to the Gate.
Hmm, and in regard to a sage needing a tomb. It doesn't have to be a spawned book. Just put in some tomes in Sorc. Sundries that aren't single items. The sage is really smart (high INT) but always loses things (low WIS). Always misplacing that book....
Also, I'd love to see/create some quests that are purely skill based to encourage everyone not simply dumping skill points into UMD and spot. Diplomacy and intimidate, etc.

I'd say we have quests to make use of the less often visited places in the PW. For example, instead of having all lv1 folks grinding wolves let's have quests to kill bandits and a quest to retrieve some magical item from the hilltop ruin. It would encourage people to scout through the module instead of grinding the same ol' 5 creatures with reasonable XP for their difficulty.
Some examples I like: -Killing local bandit chief -Kill a mummy in the hilltop ruin (it was somebody's husband/wife/loved one) -Collect gnoll ears (seriously, people just skip these guys and kill Goblin Sappers) -Collect lizardmen tails for an alchemist -Find the Minotaur treasure horde -Help a druid put the treants to rest
And that sort of stuff. Things to encourage people to not farm Goblins, umber hulks, and skeletons and actually take a risk for the dangerous mobs =P.

They are quite easy and give good xp. That would sound strange to some religions, since some have active members...i mean, if the Holy Symbol from the Temple of Tyr was stolen, a Paladin like Valek Sunborn would have to retrieve it..not some random adventurer But for those who dont have it would work just fine. Okay, it looks like I got the basic idea of scripting down. What's the next step besides simple quests? I'm no expert, but if someone can give me an example of how to turn it up a notch, I can try a little more complicated scripting.
