I dont know when it started, or how, or why but when ever i try to log on player side, or DM side the game spy screen that monitors your login progress..
Well is does the serching for server
Server Found
Connecting to Server.
Right after that, right before it gets to the screen that says new character or select character my game crashs, completely.
Problem is it doesnt tell me WHY it crashs, and its only Baldurs Gate, other servers i can get in fine.
HELP ME

thats weird.. did you update anything like the actual patch put out by OBE, or anything like that? I dont know what happened, but I know the farmlands issue I fixed last night by resetting the server again so people could log back in and not freeze.. You could try a reinstall... *shrugs*

Crap I'm having the same problem as wizard. I didn't change anything on my system. When I click on the server and it tells me to either create a character or select a character, either of those two options automatically boots me to desktop. I tried logging on with a different gamespy ID and it works fine, but under my normal ID: Twilight_Sojourn, I can't log in. Other servers work fine too. May be a scripting bug, or server may need to be reset. I logged on this morning fine, just during the afternoon it started happening.

Well I just dropped the server for a reset.. its still not back up, but somone had a duplicate of them in the game (though a level lower) so all kinds of things were gettin messed up like I couldnt log back in, peoples names were over-written in the chat and tell dialouges..

At least its not me, the weird thing is this problem had happened with all of my RP games I tested afterwords, in single player.
Baldurs Gate 1&2, icewind dale 1&2, temple of elemental evil, nwn1 all kicked me out before i could lpay them, yet my other games like C&C 3, C&C generals, all of my rts and shootem ups work fine.
Weird thing is, I had logged on earlier to test mod some npcs for an even i had planned for this night, and had no problems.
Its a plot by the gods I know it.

lol dude that sucks, thats some serious issue there. Feel bad for you, have you retryed things yet or reinstalled?
