So here I am, new to this server (although Iv played nwn2 since it came out on other PWs as well) and I have a couple of questions regarding the Maltz quest.
Friend of mine says it can be done several times, is it supposed to be like that or is it bugged? Is it supposed to be a "cooldown" until it refresh or is it related to reboot of server?
Anyways my main question is that I have done this one time and never been able to do it ever since, while my friend gets to do them over and over again (well its certain conditions like reboot or time elapsed i dont know). Bottom line is I dont understand why our characters are being treated differently. Iv talked with other players and it seems alot of other players get either Maltz one time and no more or they get to do it several times.
Atm my quest journal is empty (probably due to reset) still i cant do any of the quests i have already done, although they are not listed as completed eitther.. myserious!
Any input would be highly appreciated! Cheers! Avantor

I will do more checking on this for you but to the best of my knowledge they are currently working on fixing the quest.
The intent is to have one time only quest and also have some quest repeatable after a certain amount of time. Just be patient as this is still beta and issues will be worked out soon as they can.

I think that it's randomly resetting quests for some players and not others. I have one PC who can do it (if I want to) every reset and another one who hasn't had it reset in about 16 weeks. Unfortunately I have no explanation for why.

Yeah my new character was able to do it every reset for a week or so.. now it seems that Maltz isn't a fan of my delivery skills and I havent been able to get it at all for the past couple weeks. Very odd... and seemingly random.

Very odd... and seemingly random. It's not random. It's actually pretty simple, and it's the same reason why most (all?) people can't change their saved locations, with the unlucky ones stuck in the Fugue. And the reason is that some (most? All?) character files only update when the server is updated. If your quests are done when the server resets without an update but weren't done during the last update, your quests get reset. Whatever the status of your quests and saved position are, they get saved when the server is updated but not on a normal reset. Same with character damage and spell/ability slots. Obviously, that behaviour is probably not intended.

So that explains why my level 9 PC is saved in Durlag's tower!

So that explains why my level 9 PC is saved in Durlag's tower! Ouch. at least its better then logging in dead, you can actually watch yourself die a gruesome yet quick death.

I actually logged out very quickly as the first sight that greeted me was an angry drow raider closing the distance very rapidly. Fortunately, the second attempt didn't provoke any spawns and a DM was able to fetch me out.
I do remember wondering why the loading screen to the farmlands looked so strange.
