So I created a new character (a drow) who is a cleric, and when I speak to the priest who has in the past allowed you to get off the initial boat, he told me to choose a deity to worship. NONE of the drow deities showed up (my guy is CN, if that matters), and I had no option to stick with my current deity, simply a list of human deities or to become one of the faithless.
Also, on an unrelated note, the same character was not able to select any of planar languages usually available to clerics of any race: celestial, abyssal, and infernal. So I instead took only draconic, and am entitled to 2 more so I will bug a DM later on for the other two. Just thought I'd point it out. ;D

You werent given a complete list of languages? Thats weird.. though I will grant you the languages you need/want providing you have the INT Mod for it.
I have been informed that the celestrial beings dont get celestrial as a default language either, so I granted Valek his language today.

Genasi's do not get language selection at all, even if high INT. They get given Cant and Common and even if they have INT for another 1-4 languages, there are none on the list. Its blank  At least last time i created one, last week i got no languages on my list. |

Yeah, my guy has 16 int and I only took draconic as a bonus language, so I should get two more. Thank you, Ice!
Though I am more concerned about the deity-thing as it seems to me that I will not be able to play him unless I can get around the priest somehow so my deity doesn't change.
And norik, I had the same problem with a genasi I had created, though I believe it was due to the fact I had tabbed out of the game at the time, because my brother had a similar problem with a character he had created. Are you sure this is not what happened to you?

Nothing to do with tabbing out. If i try to tab out of the game my game crashes My comp cant handle that. Was just a normal load. Have had it happen with two genasi's now. An Earth and an Air one. |

I think the game is tryin to tell you Genesais are retarded or something.. *shrugs* Lucky for you the DMs have this little tool called.. GRANT LANGUAGES! woot.
