I understand as the placing of the chests is a work in progress so I thought I ought to tell of chests I see that are most likely placed in the wrong areas.
Mines (with Umber Hulks): level 2-3. A lvl 11 can't loot a single chests there. Only at the bottom you can at that level. Makes no sense as I still get 40ish XP from them.
Sharptooth caves: Level 1 has 3 chests that give "too high level" message. Level 2 has 1 of the misplaced chests.
I hope these problems with the chests all over can be fixed as it makes it impossible for many to get the gold for any equipment. Having a VERY hard time myself to do this.

Was there something wrong with the existing Chests? thread that there needed to be a new one?  I hope these problems with the chests all over can be fixed as it makes it impossible for many to get the gold for any equipment. Having a VERY hard time myself to do this. This was iterated in the original thread as well as a possible source for gold... I have no idea when the next update will go in but surviving without the chests shouldn't be too hard for a little while. I suppose that having played here in the days when wolves were the sole source of gold, the amount of loot available now seems luxurious. PS. There are also minotaur horns. |

There are also minotaur horns. The thread you mentioned I found to be rather unspecific. As in taking the chest problem in general. I had hopes of this having a possibility of being more specific which dungeons and where the misplaced chests where. |

What lvl are minotaurs??? I've a lvl 10, ECL 11, that cannot seem to find any chests too loot. Yet the monsters are all blue (moderate), Bugbear mines; in the cloakwood lvl 2-4. the Sharptooth orc caves they say challenging and only a few of those chests work.
I've yet to try the trolls near candlekeep or the goblin mines near beregost...
But do the minatuars lvls work well with a lvl 10, ECL 11??

I had a bug in the script that was doing the check on chests vs. player levels, so everything was off by a bit
I'm going to send a fix over to Jlf2n today for this.
Hopefully that will clear up some of the problems.
