I have been thinking it might be time to upgrade my card. I have been lagging a lot in the wooded areas and after tweaking my video settings I have come to the conclusion my card can't hack NWN2 at full blast.
So, if you don't mind tell me what you are using and what kind of performance are you getting out of it.

My laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce 8400 in it, and it runs the game without a problem. Now Vista, on the other hand.... damn microsoft.

i got the Geforce 8800 and i haven't had a single bit of graphic lag. though, i remember reading on the bioware boards that sometimes the 8800 sometimes doesn't work as well with NWN2. i guess i'm one of the fortunate ones.

NVidia GeForce 7900 512MB card.. runs great but I still turned down the graphics setting a littlebit to make sure everything always runs smoothly. However get into a really crowded area and lag is bound to happen regardless of the card, by crowded Im talkin 20 people in one area like SoH Gates area.

Nvidia (Leadtek) 8600 GT 512MB PCI-E, works a lot better than the 7600GT I was running before.

I was using an old NVidia Graphic Card for like a year ago, but I upgraded my computer, and i'm now using Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS.
Jlf2n, are you planning on making an copmplete update of you computer? Then I would suggest you some hardware, which fist well together.

I was using a 8800GTX and recently upgraded to a GTX280 (big price drop and MIR from NewEgg). The game runs extremely smooth at 1920x1200 with all settings maxed.

I recommend the ATI 4850, it is faster than the 8800 and the 260 in most cases and is only 199.00 list price. Thats is why the 260 dropped so much. ATI is kicking Nvidia's butt right now in cost vs performance. Thanks, -driller I was using a 8800GTX and recently upgraded to a GTX280 (big price drop and MIR from NewEgg). Nvida GeForce 8400 here, the settings are auto detected for best performance and speed, I have only the rare graphics jump but thats because of computer.
Only lag i have is from the servers or my internet connecton.
Actually i have owned Nwn2 for along tmie but never got to play it because it was soooooo slow inside and outside and the battles took forever, i made it to highcliff and then was like...I cant play this my comp cant handle it.
Then i was at staples one day with 90 bucks on me, saw a the Nvida GeForce 8400, and even saw nwn2 on the back as it were...I think it was fate.
Bought it, had it installed, havent played nwn1 since.
