I noticed that I would cast my undeath to death spell and there is a couple of times where the skeletons do not even roll a save against the spell....its just pretends it never happened. The spell is actually cast but the Skeletons ignore it. As from screenshot below you can see i cast it twice and both times the skeletons never even made rolls. They have a +5 roll normally. But they didnt even roll these two times. Curious as to why that may be? I have a sorceror who can cast this 5 times per rest and basically 50% of the time this happens. See Below:

It just occured to me that this could be caused by really really really really really really really bad rolls on the dice e.g. having to have rolled all 1's on all 13 of the d4's i got for it not to affect any skeletons at all. Possible, but two castings in a row? ouch Edit: ok this is ridiculous. I cast 5 of these in a row and not once did the skeletons even roll saves. either something is wrong with the skeletons(unlikely i suppose as another person wasnt having trouble using undeath to death) or something is causing me to have crappy rolls everytime I can understand getting rolls of 1 on every d4(13 of them) i have once or twice maybe, but 5 times in a row? whats wrong with the rolls? I should at least be killing one of the skeletons, or at least getting one of them to roll a save.

Hate to tell you this, but OBE's "Random Number Generator" isnt so random. More than half the time youll roll under a 10 on the dice, while the mobs you face roll a lot higher. When it comes to spells, well OBE didnt stop borkin stuff up their either, serveral spells were either broken, or functioned in the wrong manor..

Yeah i noticed on average with attack rolls that it was usually under 10 myself and just thought it was bad rolls. But now i think about it, what you said seems about right

I doubt it, but it could be related to spell resistance or some such.
I'll pop one up and look at it.

TESTED-Nada, Zilch, just normal skeletons with normal abilityes, albeit of very advanced HD skeletons.
I do have several suggestions, first tally up all of your spell casting class' and figure out your caster level.
Undeath to death effects 1d4 HD per level.
So if your a level 15 caster thats 15d4, generateing a number between 15 and 60 HD effected, which still should be enough to effect them, at least this is a normal case.
The problem is, i assulted them with a variety of spells as my avatar, and as other creatures and they never ever made saves VS the undead.
They could be immune to death effects and necromancy type spells, which the Undeath to death spell falls under the necromancy school.
Not sure, but statistic wise there is nothing out of the ordinary with them, but your problem isnt just you so dont feel bad.

I already said above i have 13 d4 worth. And i know they arent immune as i stated above they were being killed by the spell. It was just that sometimes I wasnt rolling enough on the 13d4 to hit at least 1 skeleton worth of levels. Hence there was no need for a save roll since not enough HD worth was rolled. And no they do not have spell resistance. Did you read the thread before posting?

I did, just covering all the base's incase there was something behind the scenes that wasnt presented to the player?
