I was curious.. you see I am over excited to see Beta 4 out right now and well I am running around exploring the areas and such, I end up in Central Cloakwood where I am roaming around the area and come up to like four Minotaurs, I figured since lizardfolk were effortless and one shot KO I was like eh these will be too.. I right clicked to be sure and they were effortless.. Well little did I know they had 20ab and hit for like 20dmg easy. I then find myself running away like a baby back bitch. I thought maybe I was on crack at first but nope I wasnt.. Killed a lizardfolk in one shot 3xp then ran to a minotaur (only one) and ended up killing him 3xp as well so I assumed they are the same level if not a couple apart. No Idea if this was meant to be or not, If so I feel sorry for the lowbies that are going to run into them.
Orc Raiders seem to be in check, Nothing wrong there.

Yeah i mentioned this in another thread. Those minotaurs are sooooo out of proportion for the experience they give. They have huge amounts of hp and hit very hard and give little xp. I was getting 12 xp at level 14. And they took like 3-4 empowered flame arrows to take down edit to clarify: Thats 3-4 sets of 3 flame arrows

lol A minotaur should be hard, but also rewarding if I remember from the PnP Monster Manual.. AND they should have some sort of Tressure horde I have yet to unleash them, but I have other tricks up my sleve now.. -Ice

I dont have a problem with them being hard, i like the challenge. Just saying that the reward for them should reflect the challenge. For example, at level one, you have a choice of wolves, bandits and undead in the hilltop ruins. They all give 18 xp at level 1(not counting the zombie warrior). Now the wolves have 6hp and hit with a -1 to hit. The Zombies/Skeletons hit hard against a level 1 and have at least 10 hp or more. Bandits have 10+hp and also hit harder and more often. Why bother fighting these monsters when you just kill the wolves for the exact same experience and for a lot less chance of getting killed. I know this is just beta and things are always being worked on. Not saying this should be changed now, just pointing out as a reference for risk vs reward

Yeah I think this is more a function of the RDD class. You guys can hit hard but when something starts hitting you hard back, things get a bit hectic.

Minotaurs are especially not worth it considering the next area has treants, which are twice and easy and give way more xp.
The only purpose of that area is to run the gaunlet to the haunted estate lol. Maybe in a later patch, we can get some good loot in the cave there...
