I was fighting in the Abandoned estate when i had a crash. Now when i try to log in i get this message:
Invalid Character - Player Login refused
Illegal removed spells
And it wont let me log in. Can someone please help?
Edit: The character in question is my main character Norik Caine

I know exactly what happened... You leveled as a Sorc, and removed some spells didnt you?
Hate to tell you, but that is one of OBE's biggest screw ups, seems when you level a sorc and try to remove his spell and add another the game flags that character as Illegal... and hence doesnt allow you to log into the game from that point on with that character.
If this is what happened, find me in game with another character and Ill help you out again mate.

Yes that is what i did lol. Mainly because i got a new spell that made the old one obselete. OBE you suck  At this rate I am going to run out of letters to add to his name hahaha. Not to mention I plan to swap another set of spells in two levels time Gonna need some help then too  |

Is it possible to add a function to delete your own character manually into the module? They have this on Sundren and Necrosis...it really saves everyone alot of hassle because the admins are the only ones who have access to character vaults and they are so busy with development...while if the players can delete their own characters, the DMs can help them rebuild with no problems whatsoever. Basically its a function that when you right click on your character, an option comes up that says "delete character" and when you click on that you get booted and the system deletes the PC from the vault.

PC Tools may have this, check it up when the server is up. I tried resetting but the server is down on Server side, something we cant fix.

I would love to be able to delete some of those chars you see there in the screen shot. Most of them are useless test chars i was trying things on. And they are just taking up needless space.

Ok my theory did not work Ice. Delevling the char then not selecting the previous spell when levelign back up still ended up corrupting the char. Looks like if a sorceror wants to remove spells at anytime during his build(which i imagine would be most sorcerors as they level up ) you have to recreate the character from scratch EVERY time. Which is very annoying Im seriously running out of name variations on my sorceror lol. Help me please |

Well when ever you level Ill just have to have you remake a char, then DO NOT SELECT ANY SPELL YOU WOULD END UP CHANGING. Sorry but there is no way around that, and I dont see OBE tryin to fix it anytime soon.
*shrugs* Or dont play a sorc, do a wizard..

If we dont make use of the spells we need as we level up, then you cannot really play a sorceror effectively. For example, normally you would select "mage armor" as you level up so you can have +4 AC. Then later on when you get level 3 spells at level 6 or so, you would take improved mage armor for the +6AC, if you keep mage armor, you have wasted a level 1 slot with a spell that is useless since you have improved mage armor. Sorcerors get very limited spell selection that you cannot really afford to have wasteful spells in those slots.
And if you do as you suggest and not take certain spells that might need changing later on, it would severely limit a sorcerors defence.
My next problem is going to be trading stoneskin for Shades. I will not need stoneskin once i have shades(level 9 spell) and if i leave it i will be wasting a slot. seems a bit silly.
