I found the PW while trawling a few NW2 websites and after looking at the readme for the Worldgate client (which I've never used before) my first though was "what the hell?? Technical info .... brain overload!" But reading the instructions on this thread it made more sense ... type in the PW name and paste a url ... I can handle that I played NWN online for quite a while but have to admit when NWN2 came out I didn't get into the online community. Well for one, at the time there were no PW's of note and I was having problems patching and ... well ... I never really bothered with the online side of things so after all this time I decided to give it a go. Hopefully I can get in the PW ... assuming I've done things correctly. NWN1's system of download the hakpak and chuck it in a directory seems archaic but not very complicated

Ya, Ulfgar, worldgate is easy once you have it installed and pointed in the right direction.

ULFANG!!! Not Ulfgar lol. Yes I got in and it looks excellent. It's the first PW I've tried with NW2 although I played a lot of them with NWN's. Never gotten around to it with NWN unfortunately but looks an excellent PW. I just have to get used to the controls again. I always found them tricker than NWN and neither game had a great camera system. You always tend to have your view blocked or find it difficult to negotiate buildings etc. Even using the RTS camera it's not the easiest process.

Yes I agree on reflection. Starting to remember the old PW system of finding the hakpacks and whatever other files needed and working out which ones you need and which are optional and then finding the correct folder for them all. Worldgate looks complicated when you first look at it but in reality you're only adding a label so you know which PW is which and then just adding the url for the files and you're done.

I can handle that You know I have never understood this about this game and its community. It is impossible to figure anything out because no one seems to add read me's or how to's and if they do they are as vague as can be. Everything is made to be 10 times harder than it should be. I have never seen anything like it in any of the games I have modded for in the past. When I first started building areas for NWN2 I almost gave up several times due to not being able to understand the processes of haks and what not. I'm glad you found it easy to follow.

Well as I said when I read the readme with the Worldgate client it went right over my head by the explanation on the forums was far easier to follow. I'm not the best with technical "fings" but after you've used it once it's pretty simple. Must be if i can do it
