A well dressed courier hands a seal envelope to the designated courier for the council.

Honored greetings you to council men, and women. My name is Arnoth Detrian, and I send you this letter as part of my duties as a foreign trade emmisary from the nation of Thay. I know the very mention of that name instills ideas of tossing this letter out immediately, but know that my intentions are purely for the sake of economic fertility between our nations.
They say that anywhere from thirty to fifty percent of a nations prosperity is accredited to a steady, and healthy heart beat of a thriveing economy. The people need materials, food, protection and countless other nessecities, and luxaries to live a healthy and happy life. I have been observeing your nation for sometime and I see a fairly stable economy for the low and middle class castes of the populace, but I also see a great number of areas that could be improved upon.
I could write en endless letter dictateing my thoughts and ideas, but words spoken tend to have more impact, and more weight then words scratched onto paper. I completely understand the councils, unease at entertaining the thought of dealing with a wizard from Thay, but in the name of lady Waukeen I think it wise to at least grant me the boon of a meeting before the council to discuss any possability, even a miniscule one, at establishing a vein of easy flowing coins between our nations.
I think, with some time to enlighten the council, to show its members that we conduct trade agreements with foreign nations with far more grace, generosity, and moral dignity then is sterotypically thought of when someone hears the word Thay.
I hope, that I am at least granted the formality of a meeting with the honored lords and ladies of the council so we can discuss, as i said -any- possiblity of setting up a financially prosperous relationship between our nations. I can be found at the Elf Song Tavern, under my name.
