Hello,
I've read several threads here regarding updating the PWC and hak files. I've even read the Module Not Loading threads in this forum. I have copied and pasted what should be the correct files at least into the hak and pwc folders in the NWN2 directory. Both of these folders were empty before the copies, so there shouldn't be a file conflict.
I have patched the client up to current, and I am both expansions (Mask and SoZ). Any ideas on what might be causing a problem?
**Edit** I should have added that I have created a character, and I'm getting the error msg when I try to start.

This has happened a couple of times to me before but a simple reboot was all I needed to fix it.

I'm not that lucky, it seems.

It could just be corrupt files then. Have you tried a second download?

Yeah, I've downloaded them at least three times. I'll try again tomorrow.

If that's the case I doubt it would help. Perhaps you could rename your Neverwinter2 file to something else, start the game up and have NW2 create a new user folder for you. Then put the PW files in there.
Just in case you haven't already done so, make sure you check both override and hak folders. One will be in my documents and the other will be in your program files/atari/neverwinter folders. You should only be using the my documents folder for custom content.

You know, I've always thought reading was overrated. Everyday, however, I'm proven wrong time and time again. By the time I'm 40, maybe I'll learn my lesson.
I was installing the files in the Program Files folder, not the My Documents folder. The little alarms in my head should have gone off when the Program Files folder was still empty, but I was still able to play on another PW.
In any case, thank you Akavit.

It's good to see that worked for you. You're welcome and enjoy the server.

i too am having this identical problem, only i do not suffer from an incredulous feeling on reading and have updated everything in its appropriate folder. It loads alright, then i select a character, then it crashes. The exact error reads "there was an issue loading the module. The module cannot be loaded. then it crashes back to the login screen for multiplayer. Yes I already made sure it was the right version, and yes i already redownloaded and replaced the pwc and hak files and yes the override folder is empty. I should also note this kinda came out of nowhere, considering i was able to play last night, and the fact that ive been playing on the server for a little over a month now, and have yet to adjust or mess with any of the ini files, or settings for that matter. ive been messing with this for several hours now, and im getting rather frustrated. was there an update im not aware of? i dont know what happened between the six hours ago when i was last playing on the server to now, when it cant load the module, but whatever it is, its more or less stopping me from doing the one thing i wanted to with this game, and thats play on this server. oh, and it shou,d be noted as well, ive also tried giving it the technical "tap" and have restarted the computer (even in safe mode) nothing works. any ideas?

You did put the 8.4 PWC file in the /pwc directory right?
