Is there any way to move the revive timer for pvp until after a PC truly dies.
Feel free to correct me if my under standing of the current system is wrong.
In PVM once your PC is reduced to a negative amount equal to or greater then your normal health. You are killed. When your PC hits zero health you enter a bleeding to death status. At which time you can be saved.
My request is to make death work the same as PVM. Except retain the revive timer.
So order of death is Living, Bleeding, dead, timer kicks in revives PC.
The reason I feel this change would benefit the server is because it removes the confusion of some one being killed or subdued. If a PC with regenerate is knocked out they would most likely regain conscious and try to escape. Or feign death to get a surprise attack.
It also allows other RP opportunities like leaving some one for dead, or giving people a reason to hold back if they want some one alive. Can't say how many times I've seen level drain spells used to kill other PC. Then have it rped as being sub dued. I was once told level draining some one to death is considered a very horrific way to die in PnP.

In theory it sounds great, but some people will see it as just a longer penalty when they get beaten.
Sorry if this derails the thread but you mention level drains so I have to ask. How does Energy Drain effect PCs? The spell says its permanent, which I'm assuming it isn't against players but I want to make sure.

If it says permanent than it probably is just like petrification. I do know of a bug that can be used to get around such effects but I'm not sure I should post it as it can be used as an exploit too.

I always thinking about some one bleeding to death on the trade way and left for dead. There is a good chance your PC would be found in a busy spot like those roads. If they fall on the roads.
What I meant is that if a PC dies from being leveled drained. It is like having the life sucked out of you.

What I meant is that if a PC dies from being leveled drained. It is like having the life sucked out of you. I suspect that the reason they can come back is that they were losers and had no life to begin with, thus they lost nothing. Okay, okay, okay! Bad joke, but someone had to say it!
