Currently, and apparently for some time now the Troll quest has been bugged in that you are unable to turn them into the tanner.
At the moment, there are two main money quests past the wolves quest you accept through Jorn at level one - that are appropriate for a pre-teen leveled character.
Minotaurs and Trolls.
To me, it seems like Minotaurs favor heavy melee build characters with their heavy horns and long distance from Thunderhammer to turn in (trust me you dont wanna try walking encumbered through those parts as a wizard) in addition to being slightly higher level and harder anyways.
Trolls are perfect for budding casters who would like to spend a little time solo there perhaps, and make enough for a quick stop at the magic shop to purchase some new spells.
Though this is not to say the troll quest isnt swell for everyone, because it most certainly is, and as such I would hope development would put this fairly high on priority in order to fix it.
Killing Wolves for gold just isnt very fun.

Well it is good to see confirmation that you are indeed trying lol. I was looking at it from a consevative economic developer POV and thought perhaps you may opt *not* to fix it, because by all accounts, many players have "stock-piled" troll skins for when it is fixed. I am not one of those, but I could certainly see the reasoning if you went that route. Still you have to admit, for a level 10-12 those trolls are the best bar-none (save wolves, which is actually quite fast for an 8+ character, but unfair to new players) Since Minotaurs are scattered throughout a large dungeon, and located quite far away from the turn in point. 12 skins for 1k is (or will/ would) be just amazing for the level they become an option for budding adventurers. Looking forward to this hopefully being fixed soon

I don't think it's meant to be repeatable, though. That would make it both easier and more profitable than minotaur-hunting which... Isn't right. I'd advise against stockpiling...

That's the way I thought it was as well. When I bought the hides off some players a long time ago, I took all 192 hides or however many there were. He didn't want to carry them anyway.

Aren't quest items marked as "plot"? If so, wouldn't the fact that you can buy and sell them mean they are no longer plot-flagged and therefore don't register? Or was the quest broken even when they were flagged and it was decided to give players at least a little gold for their efforts?
