Who invented these little pains?
no other animal or beast keeps arttackign you after you are unconcious... and when they kill you, your corpse disappears.
And even if a friend kills them while you are unconcious, the explosion takes your corpse.
what is the point to that?... hahaha you now have to walk all the way back from BG to get back to your party... oh joy, lets play a game with friends where I'm not actually there because I'm walking back from BG... AGAIN....
come on people, a corpse is a corpse... leave it there so we can lose XP to get there!

If you read in the other posts, it is an issue that it's being worked on (corpse distruction). As for the death, this is a RP server (not hardcore but still...) there has to be a penalty for death, since you are supposed to almost NEVER die (we all know the issues of being a caster at low levels). On a side note, you might also get your friends to heal you instead of letting you bleed to death, which is a very viable option to stay alive. What kind of PW you think we would have here? people respawining everywhere dying endless times trying to powergame and such....no thank you just left from one of those "action" Pw, very well done, easy to play with friends, levels earned easily but the immersion was a total letdown. I am not dissing you in any way, it's just my point of view on the subject.

In reply. What would be the point of the bleed down if a creature kept attacking you? This is a gameplay decision. A corpse is not created until you die and enter the fugue plane. Not sure what you mean here. The corpse is set to plot and cannot be destroyed. Try bashing a corpse and see what happens. This weekend I need a few volunteers who have extreme patience and don't mind doing the same thing over and over to help me work out these issues. The death script is pretty straight forward, I think we are running into a few NWN2 quirks and need to work around them. Thanks, -driller Who invented these little pains? no other animal or beast keeps arttackign you after you are unconcious... and when they kill you, your corpse disappears. I think what he meant is that, when you get killed by those goblins, you dont get a corpse to return to. At least that happened to me. I got a message that said "Invalid Location. Unable to create corpse" or something like that.

Its not just the goblin sappers, most monsters are makeing off with corpses and doing gods know what to them heh.
I do have one thing, and I was complaining about it but now that I think about it its not so bad.
The goblin sappers are crazy fast, and after three hours of crawling through combat logs from a long run in the forest, it appears that the goblins have 3-4 attacks.
3-4 attacks, in itself is not bad. What needs tweaking IMOP, is their base attack, 3-4 attacks that hit -most- pcs on a very regular basis are abit over powered considering they are goblins.
We cant really complain about the four attacks, after all most pcs are level 6 around the time they fight the goblins, and most pcs have 2-3 attacks, a few of them even have four (my genasi will have four attacks).
So the number of attacks isnt the issue, its their speed and AB.
Now, with my experience in the toolset makeing monsters, I suggest several things.
-The goblins dont appear to be hasted, if they are it should be removed, keep the three attacks, (might need to give them relevant feats i dont know). -If the goblins are suppose to be fast (To get to the walls they are intended to blow up, its perfectly reasonable for them to be fast, but haste is not really the best way to do it, because it effects more then spee. [Set movement speed FAST] -Lets face it, goblins fighting with two weapons (if they dont have fighter AB/relevent feats) would have some pretty hefty penalties.
I know I'm being picky about numbers, but...when it comes to creatures its kind of a habit/hobby that i have when trying to help a new server.

.. Im level 2 or 3 when Im attackin the goblins lol. As for their feats it possible they have Dash and or Monk speed. Hasting isnt a permanent effect I dont think for the toolset to apply to an NPC. As for their 4 attacks, its prob ballanced with their XP payoff.. lets face it, EVERYONE charges the sappers before everything else lol. I dont really mind how the sappers are right now and I never really noticed them being a lot faster than anything else. Plus with only 10 HP.. its pretty much a cake walk -Ice

I have two chars i play, one has HIPS and 5d sneak so sappers dont even know he is there. My genasi, will almsot always hit them with one arrow before they get to him, and by the time they get to him hes got both weapons drawn and in improved parry mode, which they cannot touch him with. Others...not so lucky heh

I think they rock. Why can't they explode BEFORE they die! That'd be cool!

Heh yeah thats all we need... Goblins screaming Jihad as they run at you and go BOOM... all the more reason to hit them with an arrow as soon as you see them...
Long live the goblin genocide! -Ice

I think they rock. Why can't they explode BEFORE they die! That'd be cool! I was actually thinking about suggesting this. They run at you, and if they explode they do damage and give no xp, the trick would be to kill them before they get to you if you want XP. Then again, I'm a sadistic person when it comes to suggestions like this so.

Ha, but if they are running at you one attack should detonate them. That would be a cool thing though. Goblins sappers are already the funnest mobs to take down, why not make them even funner? =]

Posted in another thread about this, and I may be completely wrong because i do not have the stats.
Goblin sappers have over 10HD, yet they have 10 hit points, this could be because of a low constitution score, and I know the starting HD for a non-class goblin isnt significant, but when add ten HD it could get up there.
-Like I said, they are pains, they attack and move fast and they explode, and makeing them tougher in addition to their other abilites would kinda of irritate players, but mechanic (and even IC wise) if im a a goblin commander who has goblin sappers I would want them to be pretty tough so they can actually get to where they need to explode.
