What you can do also is: open a command prompt window Type in: C:\>tracert 66.194.252.147 you should see all the hops (routers your data go thru with the response time) That way you can see if the problem is between you and the server. 1 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 2 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 3 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 4 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 5 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 6 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 7 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 8 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 9 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 10 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 11 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 12 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 13 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 14 * * * Time limit of the request exceeded. 15 490ms 494ms 491ms 66.194.252.147 (My OS is in portuguese, so im not sure if the phrase is correct in english)

should be the same as it's a command but that's odd you timeout on each hops:
Look what I get here:

Try pinging the server for a span of a minute or two and see if you get any fluctuation in the response time when you can't login or it gets bad. Just look at the ms response time like below. Ping 66.194.252.147 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 83ms TTL=116 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 81ms TTL=116 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 82ms TTL=116 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 81ms TTL=116 My results: Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 192ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 191ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 194ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 188ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 193ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 201ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 193ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 561ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 199ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 196ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 196ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 196ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 186ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 540ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 189ms TTL=121 Reply from 66.194.252.147: bytes=32 time= 184ms TTL=121 Those two blips of 561 and 540 are not so good. That might explain why you are having problems. Otherwise it seems like you should constantly be in the 180-190 range.

Run a
ping -t 66.194.252.147 >> ping.txt
in one window, and refresh
netstat >> netstat.txt
in another. After about a half hour, email the two files to me to compare to see if there's something like the java jusched or windows update download processes interfering to try ruling out your machine. I would need to know where those hops are landing in your connection as well, rather than timeouts.

Ok I've had enough. In the morning i had no lag. And now its unplayable. That never happened to me since I started here. Now, for no reson I lag like crazy. Im sorry, but I had enough. My machine and ISP are the same, and everything else works fine. Im out. See you guys in another time.
Edit: Since I was frustrated, I'll try again now. Edit 2: Played last night at the same time Luna did and was not lagging at all. And now im online, running my prompt command ping -t 66.194.252.147, and my ping is going from 133 to 136, with no spikes at all, and still, im lagging like crazy. Sshamath crashes me standing still or on load, im getting conection error/server timed out like 4 times befoe I can log in and IG im getting delay of 10 seconds or more, and even freezes. This is too crazy and ridiculous. There is no reason for this on my computer or my conection. If the problem was here, I would have lagged last night playing, and I didnt. Its just in the afternoon. Why? My ping is stable. Why im getting IG spikes that doesnt show on my prompt window? Odd isnt it?

I just wish someone could tell me how, just how can one lag like hell with 134ms ping. How. Just that, so I can fix it.

well, there was something that i did this morning that helped me out a great deal. the links in the "techniques to reduce transition crashes" thread have changes to the ini file. i tinkered with them, now no lag at all, and 0 crashes despite running to just about every surface map.
