Before the UD came out I noticed something. When my Drow was out and about during the daytime he had his normal -1 Attack Bonus for Light.
But at night this persisted and only went away indoors.
When the fabled land bridge appears and we have Drow on the surface will there still be that night penalty? And if that a glitch?

I believe this is intended behavior from the engine. The moon light would be considered to be quite blinding as well. Hope this helps, it is the typical response you see on the main forums anyway.

Drow in D&D only receive it during hours of dusk till dawn. its just a daylight setting on the server script that needs tweaking no biggie

There is a glitch, but it's not what you think. If you check the combat log, you'll see the AB penalty from light sensitivity/blindness doesn't actually work. It's probably similar to the tower shield bug.

I don't think moonlight is that blinding to drow - they make surface raids at night with considerable facility.

the game engine actually does not even consider light/darkness for drow light blindness.
if you drow is "outside" you get -1. if indoors you get no penalty.
so really it's "outdoors" vs. "indoors" which is kinda sucky but the way it is.

Both my old Drow on the surface before UD and my current Drow with a tower sheild are properly penalized by the light and towersheild in the combat log- I always started at it in dismay as everything was so hard to hit haha

Some things register in the combat log,but that doesnt mean its actually doing what its saying.DR items say they work in the log,but when you look at your hp you are still losing it.

Try it with enablecombatdebugging 1. You'll see that the tower shield and light penalty don't get applied.
This PW wouldn't happen to have a custom script to fix this would it? If it does, that would actually be great.

Are they planing on fixing this before the UD and surface are fixed? I know it isn't working and although I play a drow my self. I would like to see this fixed if possible. It's one of those little things that are not a big deal, but you would like to work properly.

I would say its quite easily fixable, by doing what those ****tards at obsidian did not, in reverse. Just add +1 during the night hours to drow .

but then would get +1 to hit and save etc when it is night-time in the UD which is clearly silly..
