Nice server. Very fun so far. I spent my first day mostly talking to people and I noticed I got a fair bit of XP just talking to people, "RP XP", which seemed to be random between 9 and 40.
I logged and came back the next day and got no XP for talking to people.
I would like to know more about how the mechanic works, does it only activate in certain places?

The script fires off randomly. How it works is simple though.
At least two people within semi-close promity have to be talking in any fashion. The script fires off at random times during the conversation (standing still or doing emotes or being moved slightly). There is no way to regulate the XP you gain either. Thats the other random part of it. As you have seen it flucuates.
Its a great perk to those who enjoy more RP than grind and gives way to all sorts of Stories, rumor mills, and other happenings along the coast.

Yeah, at one time I got 39 points of experience just from answering 'Heya' to a greeting. The other time I got about 300-400 points of experience from helping someone with their camera settings. (It appeared the fellow had one strange custom UI) And I've talked hours about creepy people hiding in the bushes and no exp gain. Oh, not quite true, the small chat with certain halfling did bring 19 points of experience. And sometimes, it just doesn't seem to work. But in those cases you just need to write more.

i've noticed that movement seems to be a factor as well. i've gotten xp at the beginning of a conversation and didn't get any more until i actually moved around a bit.
also, it doesn't seem to give xp for spying on people. looks like you actually have to be talking for it to work. whispering may work, but i haven't tried it yet.

You do need to talk to get RP XP. The amount is random, from 1 to 50 I believe. It activates when you're close to someone and gives you XP at random times when you talk. The only problem is that after a while, it just stop working. I've noticed like others that if you ''refresh'' your position it triggers it to work again. Sometimes I had to relog to get it working again. After 1 hour or so.

This guy probably drags on the whole server from the overrides he is using. If you remember the name please send me a message with it.
