Hi all, I am starting a thread to open discussion in a more direct manner on known exploits that were introduced into NWN2 by bugsidian that unbalance or otherwise damage the gameplay on a PW that the player community would like to bring to the attention of the devs.
In addition bugsidian also unintentionally nerfed some classes and other in-game stuff as a result of laziness, lack of in-depth understanding of dnd classes or time.
Obviously it is impossible to completely balance dnd from a pvp perspective and that is not the point of this thread.
Rather it is to correct the most glaring errors that damage or greatly unbalance game play on a PW.
I would like to ask that anyone posting here refrain from inane posts that greatly exaggerate, setup straw-men or otherwise engage in personal attacks.
This thread is for discussing factual omissions, bugs and other exploits.
thanks and onto the thread.

Not a good idea, but a good start. ;D If you find an exploit send it to me, Eldur or Driller via PM. No posting them on the forums please.

Super fast respawning mobs that grant 250 xp each and only have one hitpoint can be found in the lowest level of the Cloakwood mines.
*smirks*

Akavit you lied. They give only 213XP. And you were wrong about the amount of HP they got.
But, in order to kill them in one connecting blow, you need to have "Fine Steel Dagger", sold by the Beregost's Smith. The weapon doesn't say it, but it has secret; 'Finger of Death' spell with fairly high caster level to beat those beholders' saves.

Before you wag your finger of judgement, at least do a little research behind what has happened. Apologies if you are aware of all of this it's just that these kind of things really being the cheese from the exploit monkeys and it's not possible for me to know what you do and don't know if the exploits are still in-game. It's impossible for me to divine why bugsidian does what it does, per my comments above sometimes it seems like they just don't understand the nuances of certain dnd mechanics or players classes (i.e. omitting sneak attack damage for ranged touch and touch attacks is pretty bizarre as one class they included is built around it), sometimes it's evident they just didn't have time to implement something (which is understandable given the complexity of dnd) and sometimes they just dropped the ball and programmed something wrong (like certain spells). Regardless it's apparent that they did not have the resources to devote to making nwn2 work as well as it should for a PW and folks like you have to spend a large amount of effort making it work. That being said I love this game (obviously) and if I didn't care this much about it I wouldnt be playing on a PW nor offering multiple suggestions to you lovely folks on how to improve the already impressive experience here.
