WOW!! I saw 34 peeps online last night..That is freakin awesome! I would like to thank everyone that participated last night..It was very tough for us all..I mean running an event for over 20 people is not only hectic for us DM's, but also you guys,you did great.Through the crashing,lag,and trying my hardest to keep you all entertained,I think we all did pretty well..And I also saw some great rp last night!! Now I would like to apologize to those guys in the UD. I felt a little bad leaving you folks down there and Im very sorry,but tonight you guys get to play a very big role in the event and I think everyone will enjoy seeing what happens with that..Once again UD folks,Im sorry and you know I have bunches of love for you!! Us Drow were actually talking about how the wretched surfacers were trying to kill us with their magical lag summoning so we couldn't gain strength xD

The split was necessary ...I thought about it even harder during the crash.I had asked Sirc when we were just getting started if he could stick around and help,luckily he said yes..HUGE THANKS Sirc,you da man!!!

I thought it actually went really well.. once we split into two groups especially, I do not think there was any significant lag or crash issues...
I had a good time, thanks for collaborating, it made for a good night.

I thought the server did great other than immediately following the crashes when everyone was logging I didn't experience any lag whatsoever, I was in the underdark though, not sure if that makes a difference.

Surprisingly enough, all the load times didn't seem prolonged at all when I transition despite the hordes of players. The huge battles also went without a spot of lag.

there was a bit of lag once we got to bhaal's temple with all the archers. it claimed a few of us, but once we split, it was fine.

One thing I noticed during one crash was that about 12 people were standing on one side of a transition and about 12 were on the other side fighting mobs. The guys fighting on the south would make it hard for anyone transitioning into the southern area from the north.
A few PW admins have told to keep mobs away from transitions to reduce crashes. That same thing might have been in play here as well.
Either way it sounds good. I'm sure Haunted and the other DMs will agree its so nice finally having a good server.

To be fair to the DM's the spawns were not near the transitions to begin with. Our party was in the process of transitioning over and I had just made it into the gnoll area when one or two PC's jumped the gun and spooked the encounter. Predictably, the mobs swarmed on one of the PC's and that character of course ran back to the transition where the rest of the party was standing.
