I feel bad right now, my two characters are deep gnomes. One was made to live on surface and the other to stay in the UD. But now I'm stuck in the UD and there are no creatures to kill to advance and no way to venture to the top...
While surfacers can repeat all the quests, make groups to kill frosties and have access to multiple DM events.
Chloe can invisible or sneak past everything in the UD.. I wouldnt mind having to run all my way from city to the surface on server reset but now i'm stuck.
I do not really feel to start more characters even though it's probably what I will do.
I don't like whining because you guys have done an awesome job and I'm sure a lot of drows are happy but it kinda break my fun.

Suggestion: wouldnt there be a possibility for good aligned characters to be sent on surface at their own risk ?

The problem is, the UD is brand new, and chars are meant to be at least level ten to get to the surface, so yes higherl evel chars will probably have very little challenge for the time being.
The UD is designed to be challengeing for brand new under dark pcs.
At least thats how it usually is.

I don't think deep gnomes are kill on sight.^
But as a dwarf my character is pretty reviled by the culture down there.
(I wish there were some slavers to kill)
Hopefully the crashes will be fixed with the new file because it's getting to be a chore on transitions down there..

Ill kill anything from the UD on sight.. for a price of course, or out of my mood at the time.
Either way, the bridge between the two areas will be made soon enough... yay blood will be spilled!

It's not written in my face you are from the underdark... why when I was on surface no one tried to kill me ? Anyway deep gnomes are not evil but neutral and nor in war with anyone other then drows..
I dont see the reason why deep gnomes would be killed on sigh.
Right now as I see it. Deep gnomes will have very limited possibility to join DM events because Drows are mean at them and we are stuck in the UD.
If I cant xp nor do events because no one like us we should be allowed to pvp without consent *laugh*

My deep gnome has found the solution to drow. He build a long fortified wall that only faces one direction.

In reply to Meldor; Yes, I think good aligned UD races should have access to the surface, at least in the case where the character is a ranger who just happens to sport dual-wielding scimitars. But, on a bit more serious note, perhaps you could get a mini event for Chloe where the Weave Masters could rescue her from the depths of Underdark? |

the problem is that its not fair for those of who cant go to the surface and grind frosties hence letting clwoe get stronger and stronger.

is it possible to have on area were higher lvls can fight the equivalent of frosties? Right now all I do with ICE is try to recruit and grind on beetles for gold. It would be nice to be able to kill something that would give me more then 1 xp

Higher level drow areas are coming, and with them the eventual surface exit. The areas are still being built.
