So as you can probably guess, I'm a newbie and I can't seem to get direct connect to work. I have tried the following IPs:
64.129.185.77:5126 (Downloads thread) 69.65.25.114:5121 (Performance Tips thread)
and neither have worked after a number of tries. Am I just so unlucky that I happen to only try to login when the server is down? It seems like it's up and down a lot.
Suggestions?

The server is temporarily down. It should be up soon.

Yes but I have tried in the evening the last three days. Was it down that whole time?

No. Not unless you got unlucky and kept trying to log in during the downtimes. At the moment we are not hosted on a regular server (which means frequent crashes) but that's scheduled to change tomorrow according to the information given in another thread.
Have you checked your firewall to make sure it's not blocking communication?

I have NWN2 as an exception on my windows firewall and I opened port 5126 on my router. Do those IPs look current?

They ought to be but perhaps they weren't updated.
What I'm actually using for direct connect is:
baldursgate.servegame.com
