"just remember, it's a matriarchal society....so we men have to do the womens' bidding"
Its definitely something that is going to throw most drow fans off... but I for one can't say thank you enough for ridding the drow of that cursed Spider Bitch. Every server I've played on where the usual drow hierarchy was upheld turned into a battle among a bunch of spoiled little boys playing their female characters trying to act like their parents. I think that having this as a male wizard run city is going to be excellent for the server.

Hmm, I think it would be cool to see diplomats or dignitaries from Menzoberranzan (which is a highly matriarchial society) visiting the vastly culturally different Sshamath. Could quite possibly create a really sweet and interesting setting for conflict with a touch of good ol' Drowish backstabbing. I have no doubt that some characters are going be from Menzoberranzan (Drizzit fans probably), wouldn't it be hilarious and awesome if there became some sort of large conflict between the two city-states where Menzoberranzan-born players would get harassed like hell by the locals? *Evil thoughts* ;D

Hire him to make it look like a cover up with all sorts of corruption. I think I found a new calling -Ice

Lolth does hold sway, there is a small temple to lolth there, it isnt as b ig or mighty as the average Arach-tinilith but the females presense is there and very very real.
Males control most of the way things work in the city but when it comes to spirtual matters the females rule.
At least according to my source books.

Impressive, I have a feeling sales of full plate helmets will soon drop. Can't wait for it to finally launch.
