This is a picture I got while lending a hand checking the function of some scripts on a test server. The lighting effect was perfect so I'm uploading it.

Very nice, but it's too bad there isnt any shadow or darkness right below the table on the rug. It would make it look so much more natural. Is there a way to do that?

With photoshop, yes. From what I've heard, most professional photographers add shadows to their pictures on the computer(might be a rumor). Unfortunately, I always play with shadows off for the benefit of my computer so the screenshot reflects that.
