Since this server is being increasingly geared towards requiring players to use a wide variety of skills to defeat mobs, I thought it would be a good time to bring up a few ideas.
Mobs with high spot/listen and/or see invisibility:
Invisibility is ultra powerful against mobs at the moment. There is nothing that Flail cannot defeat thanks to the walk invisible spell. (though invisibility is sadly underpowered for PvP). With invisibility being bugged, there is an increasing trend towards HIPS. Some mobs that can spot or hear hidden players would make things more challenging for them.
Mobs that use HIPS or invisibility:
Remember the shadow thieves in the original campaign? They were probably about the only mobs that I really struggled against due to my being unprepared for sneaking back-stabbers. In single player I tend to disregard preparation for such things because mobs seldom make effective use of those skills and only do so if I am expecting PvP. Since players are using HIPS and invisibility without mercy against the helpless mobs, it's only fair that they should return the favor. Remember those perma-invisible creatures in The Throne of Bhaal expansion? Nasty!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol, as a Shadow Dancer this is literally my only means of combat, I'm already screwed out of fighting in the haunted mansion and fighting Treants because of their immunity to sneak attack D:
Being a Rogue is haaaardddd

Part of my monster packet includes several beasts that have heightened senses and a few that have a sort of tremor sense.
I wont tell what its called but there is a monster, that if it works right will encourage you NOT to get near it, its one of those monsters that the only smart way is to kill it from afar.

I'm all for obscure monsters and monsters with crazy abilities, just not when they are necessary for leveling your character. =P

Good idea on the mobs. I don't have anything against HIPS, but since it's the only way to have true PvP invisibility half the people on the server seem to take it and that seems... well... odd, to say the least. Payment should be exacted! HAHAHA!

I think both are good ideas, but I would like invis fixed for PvP, because I've never been a big fan of HIPS.

Merely that some mobs ought to have such abilities.
