Changing your fixed available spells

I read somewhere in the forums that Favored Souls changing/swapping spells as a part of the levelling process could cause a character to become glitched.

I'm a bard, but I'm wondering if the same rule applies.

Has anyone had luck swapping spells upon levelling?

(I think this only applies to FS, Sorc and Bards)
