Is there a way to make it harder to interpret an unknown language with a lore check?
The problem here is that the way the system is, an unknown language can sometimes be successfully translated by a character with absolutely no lore points and a very low intelligence. Just recently, one of my not-so-bright characters successfully translated a sentence spoken in Draconic. Now, I don't believe my character would come close to ever knowing a word of that, so I RPed that he did not understand it (stayed quiet).
I say that the difficulty needs to be upped for this. Perhaps for the less common languages, it could be even higher.

Ya, I think that you should have at least average intelligence and have some lores before you should even be able to roll a translation check.
Here is what I think the minimum should be:
INT = 10 or more LORE = 1 or more LORE= 0 (no chance)
Then if you roll a 20 for each sentence, you might make something out.
