The High Priest Deirdre Lorinn of Tyr announces:
"Kens has proven his devotion to serve Justice and his determination to bring Tyr´s words into the world. He has taken the sacred oath and shall from now on be treated as a borther in faith. His new name shall be Novice Kens of Tyr."

A tall man in his early twenties walks into the temple of Tyr. He is dressed entirely in black plate armor lined with silver, a set of balanced scales set upon the head of a warhammer engraved into his breastplate in silver. A long white cloak trails behind him, worn but well-washed. A silvered warhammer hangs from his belt, tethered to a loop with a thick leather string.
He strides slowly towards the grand statue of the Even Handed with an expression of tranquility. He kneels in prayer before statue, placing a small bag of coins as tithes at its feet as he does every week. This week however, he leaves a note bound in black ribbon.
The note reads as follows:
To the High Priest of the Holy Order of Tyr the Even Handed,
My name is Lance Theodopherus. It has been three months since I arrived here in Baldur's Gate from my homeland of Cormyr and in that I have come to see that this land is in dire need of law, order and justice. I have done my best as a lone warrior to combat the forces of evil and the unjust wherever I found them, from bandits praying on travelers to the vicious orcs that infest the Wood of Sharp Teeth. However, it has become clear to me that the tide of darkness and lawlessness that wells within the realm cannot by contained by the uncoordinated actions of lone individuals acting independently, no matter how true and faithful they are.
Therefore, I would wish to place my devotion and my strength at your disposal as a member of the order. If you would fidn it in your wisdom to grant me an audience to test my skill and devotion, I can be contacted at the Blade and Stars inn.
May Tyr guide your judgment, Lance Theodopherus, Paladin.
