*Below is a letter to the Head of the Holy Order wrote on a papyrus scroll with a wax seal upon it*
To the head of the Order, I feel that it is my duty to inform you of the problem in the ruins on top of the hill just South of the Gate. I have ventured forth into those ruins after hearing tales of the dead walking within. I have discovered that this is indeed the case. These are not just skeletons and zombies. This will become a problem should they decide to venture forth from the ruins since the Tradeway lies so close to it and many travelers come through there on a daily basis. Also, I have been making an attempt to clear the Trade Way even further South of Balduer's Gate where these dog-faced beasts roam freely attacking all they see and I have even seen and battled Ogres. Should these dog-faced beasts and Ogres become orginized, they pose a threat to the citizen's of Baldur's Gate. I also hear tale of a Drow attack on the city not long ago. It is because of these events, that, I am requesting consideration to become a member of your Ranks in the line of defense against Evil and the encroachment of powerful enemies. As a follower of Helm, I have shown and will continue to show that I will guard those who cannot guard themselves and stand to fight when called upon.
May Helm Guide you and Guard you on your way....

*Below is a letter to the Head of the Holy Order on a papyrus scroll with a wax seal bearing the symbol of Helm upon it*
To the Head of the Order,
I have spent many a tenday battling the likes of Ogres, Giants, Wyverns and Goblins along the Tradeway to insure that they do not organize against the city and to make it safer for those who travel it alone as well as the Caravans who bring the much needed supplies to the City. I have guarded and guided many adventurers that have traveled along the Tradeway alone as well. I aided in the guardianship of innocent Merchants during a short battle between the Thayans and Throne along a toll bridge. Many nights I have spent inside dark and dank holes, clearing it of the foul Undead that walk the tunnels and halls of that cursed place. These things I do to bring Glory to he who is our guide and guardian in life as well as in death.
I write to you to inform you of a new darkness that is upon the lands and a Dragon leads the storm that is to come. Cindanithalixis is the name of the Red Drake and it seeks an item of immense power. I believe this item to be called, 'Sphere of Annihilation'. I have also heard that there is a necklace that controls the item as well. The Dragon seeks this item as well as the return of the horde that he says has been stolen. I witnessed a great battle in the Valley of the Wyverns South of Beregost between the once warring factions of the Thayans and Throne and the Dragon. The Thayans and Throne have now joined forces to overcome this Dragon it seems. They have failed in that battle in the Valley and to make matters worse, the Dragon spoke of 'children'.
I believe these children it speaks of are already here. They walk upright like men and have the wings of a Dragon and wield powerful magicks as well. The group of adventurers did battle against these things and I fought along side the group. The beasts were well organized. I believe this Dragon has a large and deeply complex plan for its own greed and glory based on the events that I have witnessed. Helm has blessed me in all of my actions against the Evil that plagues this area, yet, this Evil runs too deep for any one follower to face alone. I am willing to stand along side my brothers, should the Order see fit, to face this Evil. I pledge my sword to aid in the search of this powerful item should the Order see fit to choose me to aid in this search......
~May He who guards us and guides us in life, bless us along this path to stand against the ever encroachment of Evil upon these lands.....

*Below is a letter to the Head of the Order wrote on a papyrus scroll with a wax seal and the symbol of Helm upon it.... To the Head of the Holy Order, I write to inform you of actions that have recently taken place. While on the Tradeway and traveling South to Beregost, myself and another by the name of Valldur were attacked by Orc in an area that normally do not see Orc. We traveled to discover the reason behind the sudden attack and came to a place we call the "Gnoll Stronghold" just South of Baldur's Gate and on the Tradeway itself.
It is known for the evil that pours forth from it and we battle it almost daily, but this day was a day where more than just Gnolls came forth. While talking with other travelers along the Tradeway to learn if they had seen or battled the likes of Orc in this area, the gates to the stronghold opend up and a wave of Orc poured forth upon the Tradeway! We took action as quickly as we could and battled against the likes of those Orc. The first wave crashed upon us like the waves upon the cliffs near Candlekeep!
We stood our ground and Helm blessed us indeed! Then another wave and another came forth from that gate. Still we fought against the waves of Orc and even the likes of the Giant that led them. I believe that this Giant was the one who led the group of 30 or so Orc that poured out of that foul place. When the battle was over, we stood the victor by the guidance and guardianship of Helm's Blessings upon us. He guided our weapons to victory. I write this letter to also keep you informed of the events that take place in and around the Tradeway and of Baldur's Gate and to keep you informed of my actions to uphold the Oath I gave to the Order, "To guard those who cannot guard themselves and to always stand and fight against the encroachment of evil upon the lands..." I, as well as the others involved, had been given praise by the Duke Eltan himself for the actions that took place. I have earned a position in the Flaming Fist as a Guardian. If this is in conflict with the Holy Order, then, I shall give my resignation to the Flaming Fist, for, my dedication to Helm as a humble follower and as an Apprentice in the Holy Order will always come first.
I must also inform you of one by the name of Ryokami. He has had a price put upon his head. They say that he is a powerful and wicked follower of a wicked and foul God and that he has murdered the likes of a Flaming Fist Officer. Should any member of the Order come into contact with him they should know that they say he carries a pole weapon of some sort and wears black cloth, almost priest-like clothing, and has a patch over one eye.
~May he who guards us and guides us in life, bless us along this path and in this battle as we stand against the Evil of the lands....

*Below is a letter to the Head of the Holy Order on a papyrus scroll with a wax seal bearing the symbol of Helm upon it* To the head of the Holy Order,
I write to keep you informed of my actions in this region and the fight against the likes of evil. Recently a member of the Flaming Fist in Baldur's Gate came across what would seem to be nothing more than an ordinary ring of no power. This came to be untrue. This ring was of a wicked nature that could call forth infernal beings from the Abyss itself. Elminster gave his insight on how to destroy this ring and then shielded the true nature of the ring until we could find the means to destroy it. The ring was said to only be destroyed by the fires of an Ancient Red Dragon and in order to find this Ancient Red, we had to find a Black Dragon to give us the location. We made our way, led by Sergeant Justin Crownsilver, to this black dragon and then to the Ancient Red. In the end, both Dragons were destroyed as well as the ring. This I saw with my own two eyes.
Another desturbing event that took place was the appearance of Demons and the attacks of the dead upon the City of Baldur's Gate. We fought this horde even as wave after wave poured forth into the Gates. We survived only by the guidance and guardianship of Helm himself! Still, many soldiers did not make it through the night of fighting.....
I have nothing more to reoprt at this time. May Helm continue to guide us and guard us in these dark times as we stand against the evil that plagues this land.....

The young man stands before the large doors and smiles as he makes his way into the Temple.....It seems as if it has been many moons since he was last here to spend time in prayer with his God..Helm, but, he knows right where to go and makes his way to a room where he can change into his robes. He starts to undo the leather straps on his armor and lay it on the bed. His pack, shield and weapons and other gear lay in the corner of the room and he then turns to wash his face and hands. He then puts on his robes and makes his way into the main chamber for time in prayer.....Aiden makes his way to the main chamber and takes a moment to prepare himself mentally and spiritually. He bows his head and softly chants a chant of preparation to come forth to Helm in prayer. He clears his mind and slowly looks up to the statue of Helm and then he begins. Aiden takes a knee before the statue and takes out a small vial of Holy water. He opens it up and places a bit of the water upon his forefinger and traces it across his forehead. "Blessed is he who walks in faith." he then places more of the water upon his forefinger and traces it across his chest, "Blessed is he whose heart is pure." he then places the vial of water on the floor next to him and prays. He prays for wisdom and strength, guidance and guardianship in all that he does. The young man thinks of all that has taken place as of late and he prays for victory against the likes of the evil that seems to be spreading like a wildfire in these lands. Soon, a small circle appears around Aiden and he can feel a surge of power throughout his body."PRAISE BE TO HELM FOR HIS GUIDANCE!! PRAISE BE TO HELM FOR GUARDING US IN THESE DARK TIMES!!" the young man shouts as he stands, overwhelmed by the sudden surge.Aiden seems to be completely taken by the divine powers he feels coursing throughout his body. He then sits down to the floor and closes his eyes. He blocks out all distractions around him and softly begins his chanting. The soft glow around him stays strong the whole time and Aiden looses all track of time as he enters into a trance like state. Many hours pass....The time seemed to pass by quickly for the young man as he opens his eyes. He looks upon the statue of Helm and smiles. A sense of renewal is upon his tired body and a sense of refreshement is in his mind. He knows that his faith in Helm will indeed guide him in all that he does and it is in Helm that he will contintue to place his faith.......
He stands and returns to the small room once again. He returns his robes to storage and begins to put on his armor. He grabs his gear, straps his weapons to his waist and hefts his shield as he makes his way out of the Temple to return to the battle at hand. The battle of light against all that is dark. The battle of the pure at heart against those who would bring corruption into these lands......The battle against all that is Evil........

*Below is a letter to the Head of the Holy Order on a papyrus scroll with a wax seal bearing the symbol of Helm upon it*
To the Head of the Holy Order,
It is with a great haste that I send this message to you. As of late many foul events have taken place. First, there have been many rumors spreading as a wild fire about a family of Lichs in this very region. Well, as of now, I can confirm that this is no rumor. The local Guild of Mages known as the Weavemasters, have been gathering as much knowledge on the situation as they can. A contact of this Guild is Nahum, he is a just and goodly soul whom I have known for some time now.
Second, only a day or so ago, a strange portal opened up on Jorn's farmlands just outside of the gates to the very city. Even more strange than this, was the heavily armored and well armed Hobgoblins that poured forth from the portal. I have reason to believe that the portal is unstable at this time due to it slamming shut before whatever else was on the other side could pour forth. The beasts were not like the ordinary Hobgoblins that I have encountered before. They wore the same armor as the Giants and Goblins that laid siege to Beregost.
Once we defeated them, at a heavy cost, we made an attempt to gather the armor to have the strange metal looked into and identified, but, as we touched the armor it would dissapate. We left one suit of plate there on the ground and discussed how to retrieve it, when, a most foul site was beheld....while trying to figure out how to pick it up, a Ghostly figure jumped from the suit of armor itself! It was as if the armor and Hobgoblin was possessed by this 'spirit' like thing! It made the armor very strong and the Hobgoblin extremely skilled in battle! Yet, once the 'spirit' removed itself...the armor was useless. I have reason to believe that this family of Lich's with the family name...Ramset, the portals as well as the sudden appearance of skilled and well armored foes is all linked together.
There is also the appearance of an armored foe whom we do not know of his name. He appears as a knight but, with undead-like qualities. I know not of their bigger plan just yet, but, I write to keep you informed of what is going on if you do not already know and to let you know that I aid in the great battle against this evil. I know that Helm guides us and guards us in these darkest of times......
