Event: The Drow Lich
A Lich has appeared numerous times throughout the Under dark, sometimes near Sshamath.
-First Sighting: Was outside of Sshamath and appeared after a large wave of undead attacking. The attack was repelled and the Lich with his loud cackling laugh vanished after his minions were depleted. -Second Sighting: "Ghouls gone wild" A group of adventures were attacked by ghouls, later confronted by the "Drow Lich" whom with loud cackling, turned the party of 7 adventures into Ghouls, his "Children", and sent them all to feast within Sshamath. The party of Ghouls (players turned into ghouls) Assaulted the city killing and feasting on civilians and anything that got into their way till they were set free of there vile forms when another player slayed them in their ghoul forms reverting them back to there true forms. -Third Sighting: "The Lich Hunt" Rumor flowed through the streets of Sshamath about undead massing deep in the Underdark. A large party (16 PC's I believe) of mixed skills rallied together to hunt this rumor spoken of a Lich. The small army headed out to the very bowls of the Underdark in search of this sighting of undead. As they moved deeper the moans of the undeed could be heard before they were even seen. With caution the small army moved forward. The sound of crackling bones followed in the wake of legions of skeleton warriors that assaulted the group. The small army crushed these undead abominations as they fell upon them and slowly moved deeper within the ice chilled narrow cavern. The undead fought with tactics, ambushes and flanking maneuvers; something mindless creatures cannot do unless something was controlling them, "The Lich must be near" Came a cry from from the front of the army. Undead of various forms endlessly sieged the group just to pile upon the ground till the loud cackling of a Lich was heard. "There it is! Kill the Lich" was cried out by a few of the (PC's) warriors. With magic that shook the very cavern the Lich spilled out magic with ease and slayed many where they stood. After what the (PC's) felt was hours, in reality was just a few (real time) minutes they finally put the Lich down. The small army quickly gathered there dead and tended there wounded, casting resurrection spells on those that had resurrectable corpses as well as using what healing kits they had to tend to the critically wounded. The army was near full strength once more and they continued out to find the Liches phylactery. upon venturing further into the cavern a hovering skull approached the army with a loud cackling laugh "I cannot die fools!" it spat the words as malicious as the spells it was then casting. The cavern shook once more, stalagmites from the ceiling crashed down all around as the reformed lich in all its majestic cast ungodly spells at the army, cindering, turning to stone, electrocuting and annihilating almost everyone till a few left finally sent the great evil skull crashing lifelessly to the ground exploding into fine dust. The army once again performed magic aid to those wounded and fallen and once more there numbers returned. Restful and angered by this Lich and its non-stop attacks they continued to search out its phylactery. The Lich was smart in hiding his phylactery amongst Basilisks, turning a few of the soldiers (PC's) into stone. The tired and road weary group finally stumbled upon a sarcophagus in which a not yet fully forming Lich steped out. In the Lich's very weakened stage he was easy to put down and lying within the sarcophagus was the phylactery in a shape and form of a fist sized diamond with ruins scratched unto its surface. The phylactery pulsed upon being handled as one (PC) of the many (PC'S) picked it up and slid it into his pack. "Destroy it!" everyone demanded, but the one with the phylactery shook his head and simply stated "No". After about an hours worth of shouting at one another about what is to be done with the phylactery the Lich spawned once again from just outside of the Phylactery and began to haunt the small army once more. They fought like true races of the Underdark and slayed the Lich another countless time. The one with phylactery quickly fled down a tunnel with his new found prize, or curse. Once alone, or so he hoped, he began to study the phylactery and called upon the Lich to return. With a loud cackling laugh the Lich did just that. "You will server me! Less I destroy this and with it you!" The Lich let out another loud cackling laugh, "Fool, I am no ones pet! You cannot command me mortal!" The Drow held the phylactery up high in a position to smash it when the Lich simply disappeared. With a shake of his head he shoved the phylactery back in his backpack and pondered a few moments. Dark shadowed corporal monsters appeared along with the Lich and slew the Drow. With a loud cackling laugh the Lich began to cast a spell. "Rise my child, rise and slay those you once traveled here with, go!" The drow freshly risen from the dead, not in his own form but that of a ghoul, obeyed his newly acquired master and seeked out the small army to kill as he was told. The small army was standing about planning on what next to do when the groaning cry's of a ghoul came charging there way. The small army quickly fell the ghoul and looked at it curiously, noticing that it had a familiar look to it. Moments later the ghoul changed back once more to that of a Drow. As the Drow slowly got off the ground he asked what had happened. The ones closest to him filled him in on the details. The small army stood watching the Drow as others badgered him with questions about the Phylactery and with a shrug he answered that the Lich reclaimed it back and that was all he knew. Everyones feelings showed clearly on there faces, after all the work, resources spent and lives lost they allowed the Lich to once more slip through there fingers.
***A many thanks to the hardship and patience of the players involved in this massive event!***
More to come on this long epic event (Epic meaning epic in size not PC level)

Aliisza debut:
Deep in the tunnels of the Underdark a small party stumbled upon a fortress with a bridge that crossed a bottomless chasm. A small contangent of Tanarukks attacked the group and were all slain by the party. After the battle when the party was tending to their wounds and discussing the battle and what these form of orcs came from when a Cambion approached the group. Eyes were quickly lost in the creatures beauty as the half devil seductively conversated with the group.
Aliisza's bio thus far: She is a Cambion (Lore check DC15 reveals; Which are the offspring of Devil and a mortal, depraved or unwitting; inheriting the worst traits of each parent) She is barely clad and has large black wings and pale fair skin with eyes that glow with a blue hue. She finds some sort of attraction to the Drow and anytime she stumbles upon one she seductively ask information about there kind and there city. She has sided in Battle many times with Drow (PC's) and saved a few necks. Never asking for a reward makes some wonder if she has some hidden agenda. She is always smiling and has a coy demeanor and as (PC's) some Drow have found she only frowns when asked about her past or details of where she is from or resides at.

Event dubbed: "The out-of-towners"
-On two different occasion's both Llothians and Vhaeraunites were attacked. The Vhaeraunites were attacked by Phase spiders lead by masked female Drow Priestesses. The Llothians were attacked Bladelings lead by masked male Drow. Sshamath's nervers were set on check as all the Drow split into factions and not trusting each other due to recent attacks in the tunnels and conspiracies within the city.
-Weeks went by with the tension still high within Sshamath till a guard entered the city dragging a wounded solider forward when witnesses (PC's) Stopped and asked the guard what had happened. The guard spoke of an attack on a patrol unit that went out into the tunnels of the Underdark. Every able body (PC's) rounded up and went to look into this attack. The Party was first attacked by Bladelings lead by masked Drow males. Later they were attacked by large phase spiders lead by masked female Drow priestesses. The party, after many battles made it to an old crypt where they were confronted by a member of Bregan D'aerthe whom told the party about how he was following this group of masked Drow and had set up a camp within the crypt. The party went into the Crypt and fought many battles up to two Masked Drow figures that stood posed in there way, the supposed Bregan D'aerthe figure then turned on the group as the masked Drow took the queue and attacked. The party after that offset gathered themselves and continued farther into the crypts where they cam upon a well clad Priest standing in front of a portal with two Shadow Mastiffs on each of his side. The priest stated that he is a High Priest of Ergosal (A minor Drow God of lies, deception, and betrayal). The party fought and killed the high priest just to notice the portal spew forth monsters and abominations from it. After wave upon wave the party vanquished these threats and the portal started to slowly close. The party felt they didn't come all this way for it to end like that and quickly jumped through the portal. The party arrived to the nostril burning smell of brimstone and purple sky's lighted by constant lightning, houses were burning all around them...they were in one planes of hell. As the party stopped in front of a winking out portal their attention was refocused to the ground shaking footsteps of an approaching Pit Fiend. The party fought bravely against the Pit Fiend and many died over and over again just to have the Pit Fiend bring them back from death so he could kill them once more...this was Hell! The party after what seemed eternity were able to slay the fiend that under estimated the party. At battles end the party tended to there wounds and began to wonder how they would leave this plane when a portal opened up and a familiar voice coming from the portal telling the party to come. The party arrived once more in the Underdark, their skin feeling the familiar cool of the place they call home. The portal winked away and standing before them was a familiar person, it was Aliisza. The party happy to be back within the tunnels of the Underdark thanked Aliisza for bringing them back and after long conversation Aliisza took her leave. Players involved in the second install of this event are: Zyil, Morfeus, Celeth, Renha, Stinky and Draken.
**Adzling has made a very good document at Glouras Wings about this event and makes for a good read.**

Event: Underdark Rat Race
Xasdr'ee of the conclave came to the bazaar within Sshamath seeking those willing to seek out a artifact of great importance. A large group of 13 (PC's) gathered around listening to the member of the conclave speak and give information on this items whereabouts. Xasdr'ee stated there was a large sum to be rewarded to anyone that can retrieve it. The trick to the event was the gold of a sum of 10,000 gold was awarded to "those that brought the artifact back" and the large sum would be split amongst those that brought the artifact back to him, hinting that 10,000 isn't much to split 13 ways. So everyone formed up in groups and headed out. Not but 10 minutes into this event the PC's started knocking off eachother (The Deep Gnomes whacked most the Drow in the group that thought would do the same to them) and this went on in on till the group was down to about 6 players whom finally decided to work together for the time being remembering that the guy of the conclave told them that the artifact was known to be in the hands of Beholders, Doh! (lmao, greedy UD players) well the remainder of the once large group barely managed to retrieve the artifact and the artifact fell to the ground after the party killed a rather large beholder. One of the deep gnomes in th party (Rendalyn Darkblade) quickly picked up the artifact and started hauling his little gnomes ass off running down the tunnels in hopes to claim the prize all for himself when he was finally caught up to and killed by his former party and had the artifact removed from his dead iron grasped grip he had on it, (guess he thought he would take the artifact with him to the afterlife, *chuckles*) Anyways after a long haul back the now 5 players took the artifact back to Sshamath for there prize.
*Players in event as follows: Rendalyn Darkblade,

Event: A Dragon you say?
Down the road of the Tradeway just outside the temple of Bhaal came a man running screaming "Dragon!!" When a few people stopped the man and asked him what he was screaming about. After taking a minute to catch his breathe the man told them of a dragon about 50 feet tall was seen further down the road. After the man noticed these fools were contemplating seeking out the Dragon he ran off down the road. Everyone gathered decided they would check into this Dragon sighting and started to head in the direction the dragon was coming. The party expanded as it went with more people (PC's) joining to investigate this Dragon sighting. Another person ran up to the group screaming "Dragon!" came running up the road. The party stopped the man and asked him what he saw. "A Dragon as big as a house just down that road" The man then took off running once more. Dragon fear was already spreading throughout the party and they have yet to encounter such a beast yet. The party continued to move on further down the road till yet again another man came running there way screaming "Dragon!!" the party asked him about what he had saw and the man stated " A Dragon as big as a castle lies just up ahead in a cave, that monstrous beast killed my party in just one breathe!!" the man quickly ran off. The party unsure of in there next move began to cast protective wards on themselves and go over battle formations to assault a Dragon of such a large scale. (14 players, if I'm not mistaken made up this large party) After preparing the party nervously and cautiously entered the cave. Upon the entrance of the cave the large party noticed a cute white fluffy bunny sitting there twitching its little nose. Dumb founded by the bunny being in a cave where a monstrous sized Dragon was to be lairing struck them all as odd till they noticed the red evil glaze in the bunnies eyes and its ears pin back smiling very evilly at the party before going on a mad killing rampage killing 4 people within seconds and slaying 3 others in a Gorey, limbs flying everywhere; killing spree before the remanding members of the party put the evil bunny down. (Lmao this was such a funny event thanks all to who participated)

Event: Minotaur Pirates
The Farmlands outside of Baldurs Gate went about there normal duties on a typical afternoon. Jorn walked from one field to the next inspecting his crops and stopping to pay the wagers of a wolf pelt hunter here and there. All was quite as a massive ship sailed down the river ever so creeping. The ship docked at a dock just before a bridge that leads from the farmlands unto a road going forth to the woods known to be plagued by an ever growing wolf population. Few travelers walking through the farmlands (PC's) noticed the large ship dock and felt something odd about it and went to investigate. Upon approaching the ship they witnessed Minotaurs leaping over its deck unto the dock and rushing out into the farmlands to kill all those they could. Word spread quickly of this attack and soon more hero's (PC's) joined the fray. The battle waged on and on as Minotaurs continued to flood from off the ship and attack. A very large Minotaur followed what seemed to be the last of them unto the farmlands, swinging a axe the size of a wagon butchering farmers in his wake and a couple Minotaurs to stupid to get out of the way of his raging swings. The Hero's of the farmlands fought bravely, killing the Minotaur captain. Upon debating where these attacks came from the ship caught aflame and soon sank into the river as another ship approached from the down river bearing more blood thirsty Minotaurs. Again battle was at hand and the newly arriving enemies were quickly repelled, slaying all that came from that ship. The party (PC's) took time to recover from the invasion and pondered what to do with the ship that stayed there bobbing up in down on the rivers wake. Some wanted to sell the ship others decided to inspect the ship further and find evidence of the Minotaurs origins. After searching the ship one of the hero's found a crude map that in there understanding lead to where the minotaurs were likely encamped or came from. After much discussion the majority ruled to sail the ship and follow the map that was found within it. After using thick ropes the hero's were able to turn the ship around, board it and then sail it off into the Sea of Swords. After weeks at sail the company's ship was fastly approached by a storm. The waves slammed the ship threating to tip it and all its crew to the bottom of the ocean. The ships passengers held on tightly to what ever they could as wave after wave sprayed them all with water. The storm passed and the sun shined once more, no man was lost to the sea that day.

Lilarcor's Debut: A sentient two-handed sword that speaks. This intelligent sword was found near the lands of Baldurs Gate and has been in the hands of many different (PC) owners as of late. The sword was last reported to have been sold to a wizard that managed to unbind the cursed weapon from the hands of its former (PC) owner. Locked up and warded within the arcane tower. Reports have slipped out that dark claded thieves had broken in and stole the sword. Last known report of the swords whereabouts was that it is on its way to the Underdark. -A 17 lore check will tell you that Lilarcor's back story is that of an exceptionally stupid man Lawrence Lilarcor who once fought an "Epic" battle against a tree that he thought to be a evil Treant and his spirit was transferred into the sword. -Lilarcor is a NPC sword since it is not possible for a DM to make a weapon in your inventory actually talk (although I did see that Lilarcor is within the nwn2 vault hmm ) Lilacor is a cursed weapon once picked up it is bound to its owner and follows his owner till the bind is broken, either through death of the wielder or by very strong expensive curse removal or dispels.

A Task from the Conclave:
**Part 1**
A member of the Conclave came to the bazaar within Sshamath to seek out a small group to carry out the task of recovering a certain artifact from the surface, an orb to be precise. Many of the adventuring races of Sshamath (Drow, duergar, Deep gnome and Genasi) willingly accepted this task. The member of conclave looked the team over and simply stated to them all "You are all not strong enough to survive the perils of the surface, they do not take lightly to the races of the Underdark and they will hunt you down if you all are revealed" The mage of conclave rub his chin. "But....there is a sword of great power that is now being smuggled into the Underdark as we speak, reclaim this sword and return here, by that time I shall have a portal near completed for your journey to the surface." The party headed out into the underdark in search of this sword of power that was last known to be in the hands of three Drow smugglers. The party careful made way through endless tunnels and fighting off various creatures that plagued the Underdark. The party made way into a large opening where the smell of rot overwhelmed there noses, and seem to come on a damp breeze of one of the various tunnels. Before the party came together on a conclusion of which tunnel to take they were attacked by carrion crawlers. The party fought through the carrion crawlers as they came down the tunnel almost endlessly. The party continued there advance through a winding tunnel that opened up to a large cavern and to the sound of fast moving water. A well fashioned bridge ran over top a gorge that contained a rapid flowing river. The party quickly moved across the bridge only to be attacked by more carrion. In the midst of the battle an ear piercing screech reverberated off the caverns walls as a monstrously large carrion crawled towards the party. The party quickly finished the smaller carrion to turn there full focus to this enormous carrion, perhaps a mother by its the sheer size. The party quickly organized then pressed an attack, trying to stand clear of the beast tentacles and massive mouth that could easily swallow a Drow whole. The attack took a short time but the party overwhelmed the creature dropping its hulking body to the ground. After catching there breathe the group moved down the tunnel as the stench of rot further infiltrated there noses. Upon the tunnels ground layed the decomposing bodies of what, after examination, appeared to be Drow. Covering there noses they searched the bodies on to be surprised at the muffled sounds of something talking. One of the members rolled the Drows corpse over to find a splendid two-handed sword lying on the ground. The sword oddly began to talk, begging and pleading for someone to pick him up. The party did not trust the strange talking sword and everyone hesitated on there approach, till one in the group walk over and simply picked it up. The sword was quickly discovered to be cursed to its newly acquired owner. No amount of attempts could free the sword from his possession. The sword eagerly wanted to kill something and babbled on and on about its former adventures, making enough noise to wake the whole of the Underdark. Cursing to themselves at the very talkative sword the party quickly routed themselves back to Sshamath to seek out the member of Conclave with the news of the sword.
**Part 2 of this event will be written at another time**

A Task from the Conclave:
**Part 2**
Upon reaching Sshamath the party seeked out the member of the Conclave where he stood with two apprentices making the final designs of a portal. The member of the Conclave asked about the swords recovery when he quickly stopped in mid sentence as the sword known as Lilarcor went on and on about finding something to kill. With a smirk, the member of conclave explained the swords sentient nature and told the party to go and gather supplies for the trip to the surface. After the party resupplied they met back with the member of Conclave and awaited his instructions. The Faern (Drow wizard/member of conclave) handed the party a well made map and instructions upon exiting the portal. The party waited as the faerns began to cast and watched as the very air winked in bright light as a portal started to grow. The party quickly entered into the portal. Bright light blinded the party as they stepped out of the portal, a few members of the party relieved there lunch unto the ground from the motion sickness of the transition through the portal. Everyone shaded there eyes and began to study there new unfamiliar environment. The one with the map quickly unrolled it and studied the parchment for direction as to where they must go. The party moved stealthy but yet fast through the woods and upon hitting some form of a temple they banked left and continued at a jogging pace till they reached a well used road. The party stopped abruptly and studied the map once again, finding the coarse and quickly took off down the road. As the party continued about half a days (By the movement of that cursed bright orb in what someone stated was the sky) sprint they came to a resting stop once more. Tired, exhausted and drained by the sun the party didn't see as three forms approached with curiosity well written on there face's. "Greetings" and "Hello" was the response from these surfacers as they studied this masked group. The party watched with hands on there weapons as one in there group approached the surfacers and began to speak to them in the surfacers common language. After idle conversation with these surfacers the party took the time bought to recover there breathe and quickly sprinted off down the road. The surfacers looked at each other and then quickly ran chasing after the strange masked group. The party stopped when they new that they lost the surfacers and quickly studied the map to find that there objective location was only but a 100 paces away. The party sprinted in that direction to come across a cave. Studying the map once more the group came to the conclusion the artifact must lie within the cave, with sighs of relief to get out from the sunlight the party entered the cave. The cave was a welcome, almost, as the only thing they encountered was a few goblins as the entered a strange ruin deep into the cave. The party knowing that they were close to finding the artifact quickly split up in to pairs and spread out to search the many rooms within the ruins. Within a room in front of what appeared to be the remains of an alter was a stand and on the stand was a large red orb that glowed. The party gathered together upon news of its finding and quickly grabbed the artifact. Moments later a rift tore into the thin air and a portal began to slowly open. The party was relieved to see the portal knowing there ticket home had arrived. Behind the party another portal opened but this one was much quicker as a group of Githyanki stepped out of it and began to assault the party. The party quickly vanquished this new threat to only hear moments later foot falls coming down the hallway just outside the room they were in. The party, with nods to each other, readied their weapons and remained quiet as the foot steps came closer to the door. Whatever came down the hallway didn't bother to open the door to look into the room the party was in and they all sighed as the footsteps seemed to continue on down the hallway till the sword Lilaarcor broke the silence with a loud "Come and get some, MWAAHAAAHAAA..." The footsteps came rushing back to the door and opened it. There stood six surfacers all armed to the teeth, with quick thinking the party drew steel and spell and attacked. The battle raged as the party pitted there honed underdark skills against this troupe of surfacers. The surfacers proved to be well skilled and fought as equal in battle as the party did. The battle went on what seemed an hour as the wounded on both sides fell, till one remained standing and that was a surfacer. Lilarcor let it be known he was not out of the battle as the sentient sword bit into the humans armor placing a few deep wounds upon the human before he collapsed defeated upon the floor, his life blood spilling out. The sword bought the party enough time to crawl woundedly towards the portal to vanish back to where they came from. Within the ruins one of the surfacers that was knocked out during the battle quickly came to his senses and began to help the others up and dress there wounds. As the group recovered they began to search about the room within the ruins for any clues maybe left behind by the party of the Underdark race. After a long and thourogh search the party of surfacers noticed a stand near an alter that may have once contained something round and rather big. Upon closer examination one pointed out the fact that the stand had been recently disturbed from the fresh markings on the otherwise very dusty stand. As the party pondered what may have been contained on the stand and why the party of Underdark beings seeked to claim it weighed heavy on there minds. The heavy thoughts were abruptly interrupted as a portal winked in then quickly back out and within its place stood a male Githyanki. "Fools, give back the orb" the Gith demanded. "We do not have this orb the surfacers retorted, "Races of the Underdark we believe have claimed it and fled through a portal." The surface party traded insight and information with the Githyanki finding out about the orbs origin and how the Gith are guardians of this very powerful artifact that is now in the hands of the Drow. Disturbed by an item of such great power being in the hands of the Drow the surfacers offered there aid in helping the Gith to recover back this artifact.

Children of the corn:
As the sun started to rise upon Baldurs Gate the citizens began to go about there daily affairs, The town crier shouting out current events. One such event the crier spoke of drew the attention of quite a few folks as well as adventures, the report of missing children all disappearing in the middle of the night. The adventures (PC's) Took interest in this and began to question the citizens only to find out that no one had any clue as to why they were missing. A lady within the town center spoke of another lady whom lived just down the street to of had her son gone missing. The adventures took that note and began to start there investigation with her. The lady was standing in front of her house sobbing about her child missing when the adventures approach and asked her about the disappearance of her missing son, She spoke of hearing in the middle of the night footsteps down the hallway then down the stairs, followed by the sound of the front door opening and closing. She said she got from out of bed and checked her sons room only to notice he was not there, running to the window she saw he was not outside either. The Adventures continued to pry clues from her and the only thing odd the woman noticed was the smell of corn within the air at the time her son disappeared. The Adventures chewed at the clue she mentioned and as they decided what next to do. A husk floated out of the second story window of the house and floated down the street towards the front gate of the city Baldurs Gate. The adventures saw this as a second clue and began there journey to the fields outside the city known to have corn fields. As the adventures journeyed to the farmlands they checked door to door of the various farmers as well as keeping a hawks eye about in search of any children. The adventures searched up and down, even spreading out to comb the fields in effortless attempts till one of the members of party noticed a odd and very strange set of stones that formed a circle that lead only to the belief that it was some sort of portal. Fresh blood soaked the ground near the demonic stones that seemed to grow from straight out of the ground. The adventures searched around the portal for any clues to its purpose as the sun began to slowly set, casting shadows on the land. Darkness approached as the party studied the strange stones as they begin to hum, and the humming grew louder by the minute followed by the snapping sound of corn stalks came from the corn field. The party turned around to see several children with blood covered shirts come running out of the fields. Giggling and laughing the children had a murderous look in there eyes. Armed with rocks and knives the kids giggled and laughed once more as they began to attack the party. The Children fought literally like demons, fighting with the strength that they could not possibly posses at there young age. The party had no other options but to attack the children and in a saddened shame they slew all the children and releasing there bodies of whatever form of evil took control of them. The odd stones behind them began to hum very loudly and then a flash, like a fireball, exploded at the strange portal followed by the instant appearance of a great Devil. Fire licked the Devils frame from head to toe as well of the very large sword it wielded. "Those are my children!" The large Devil boomed out in anger! "I will have your souls!" the Devil then attacked the party. The party fared well against this demonic entity and slowly bleeding the Devil out with attacks from sword, bow and spell. After what seemed like eternity the Devil was finally defeated falling to the ground and bursting into a roaring massive fireball, exploding in a wave of fire killing a good deal of the party that were not so lucky as to escape its cindering explosion. The remainder of the party tended to the survivors and raised the dead that had fallen that weren't completely incinerated by the Devils going away present. With no children alive to return to the city, the party took the grueling task of returning back to Baldurs Gate to report the dire news.

Red wizard of Thay cult:
Within the Bazaar in Sshamath a Red Wizard of Thay and a member of the conclave had an open dispute, a dispute that caught the attention of quite a few people. "We do not have a deal Thayian!" said in a sharp tone by the member of the Conclave, "leave this city and never return!". The Red wizaed of Thay glared at the member of Conclave, "Have it your way!" The Red wizard turned and walked off and with a quick phrase and a slight jesture of his hands the Red Wizard vanished." The onlookers stared at the member of the Conclave as the wizard approached them with a proposition. "That wizard can not be trusted and I have an understanding that the Red Wizards of Thay are putting together an outpost within the Underdark, I wish to have them eliminated before he contacts there home of operations, seek them out a kill them all and I will provide a handsome reward." The wizard of Conclave spoke of how there general location is being warded against scrying and he had a hunch where the Red Wizard's new outpost may be and with that information the small party (PC'S) took there leave of Sshamath and headed into the Underdark to find and eliminate these "Red Wizards." The party fought a few denizens of the Underdark before stumbling upon an ancient crypt, the party decided this must be the place and went into the crypt cautiously. The crypt seemed eerily quiet as the party entered and they decided to go about there search. The crypt held many small chambers and magical traps and wards seem to be at every turn. As the party moved deeper into the crypt they were attacked by various different outsiders, creatures of another plane. The party fought with skill and defeated the creatures only to do battle again and again as they went deeper. As the party came down a long narrow hallway the sound of chanting could be heard, the party stopped and approached the door to where the chanting was coming from. After disarming the ward on the door the party entered to find four Red Wizards of Thay standing at the edges of a candlelit rune on the ground and within the runes center lay a body with blood still bleeding out of various punctures. The Red Wizards broke there chant to begin casting spells at these intruders. Spells broke out back and forth between the party and the Red Wizards as the fighters in the party charged the wizards head on. The party battled fiercely against this formidable foe, slaying the Red Wizards. As the four Red wizards fell another one appeared near a very new and grotesque looking altar, the party noticed right away that it was the same Red Wizard that was earlier within Sshamath. The party began there attack trying to catch the wizard off guard and before he could cast more wards about his person. The party fought against the stinging blast of spells and quickly slew the Red Wizard. With gurgling last words the Red Wizard cast a spell at a portal that was behind the altar. Heart beats later demons of all sort came crashing through the portal attacking the party. The party formed a tight line and pressed back the attack killing many demons until the got a foothold on the portal. One member within the party threw a a device at the portal which exploded in a flash of bright light, causing the portal to destruct and topple. With a loud boom, the portal exploded in magical blasts the rocked the foundation of the crypt causing the ceiling and walls to start cracking. The party took this as a sign to leave and leave quick and sprinted down the hallways towards the entrance as the place started to come down all around them. The party managed to make it out the door by only a few minutes as the place completely collapsed in on itself sending dust shooting out the open doorway of the crypt. The party returned to Sshamath where they received there just reward.
