I just turned lvl 20 on my wizard Meldor yesterday.
Since every now and then when I do a transition my game crash to desktop and I can't relog on my character.
I dunno what it's all about never had issue with him before.
I have no SoZ feat or spells.
Only items that could probably cause issues is my ring +3 INT. Which when I turned 20 I got +1 INT and now the ring should give me +2 bonus to my spells slots.. wondering if that could be the issue.
Anyway my character is just unplayable anymore.. I can log just fine on all my other toons.

Nahum is having similar problems. It may be of benefit to trade some notes to see what might be happening.

I unequipped my rings and still crash ... I have no idea what happened from lvl 19-20.

Eldur.. send me the BIC file for that char or Nahums crashing char.
I can at least test locally that it's not something in the HAKs screwing up wizards.
And I can export the BIC into the toolkit and see if anything is odd about the character.

Eldur, Luna, Thanks for looking into this. Meldor, I hope you don't mind me saying this but I'm glad I'm not the only one. I haven't been able to play Nahum much for the past two weeks. I'm getting close to reinstalling my whole OS.  |

Nothing to do with your computer Nahum or your game install.
I play Chloe, Belzebuth, Penelope just fine only my wizard has problem and it's like you said probably related to the number of spells slot we have as I had no problems before lvl 20.
Hope Eldur or Luna can find something.. I was all enthusiasm of having a character on surface to kill the time while the UD grow up LOL.

I know Nahum is a crafter and so is Meldor..
At 20 I got the feat brewing potions.. I wonder if that could be the problem..
**I know crafting isn't implemented yet but meldor can enchant everything (wands, potions, misc items, weapons & armors)**

Tried again after server reset today. same deal.
Usually I have no problem to log in the Nexus.. as soon as I went to my saved location I crashed. (Second level of the haunted house)
I was able to relog.. I buffed myself like I do usually since 1 week or so. Either from outside the house or second level and as soon as I transition to the basement (crash and the character permanently bugged) Cant relog on him anymore.

When server reset I can log in but usually as soon as I take a few transition I start crashing until I cant relog at all. but like I said in my previous post. with the haunted manor it's automatic if I transition on the basement floor my character crash and I'm never able to relog on him until server reset. It's related to something loading during the transitions. |

Okie I know Belados had some problems also last nite and I think he rebuild with some wizard level.
2 Persons reported that some spells aren't affected to the proper classes.
-Someone about the arcane scholar not being able to pick wizard spells but only bard.
-Lyra just reported sound burst scroll aren't allowed by bards anymore.
I would look into the spells, think something messed up there

Judging from his reports so far, removing all Improved Metamagicked spells from the hotbar did the trick.
So, there you go Crashum. Remove the spells and freedom shall be yours!

I have tested it with my ASOC and do not experience any transition crashes anymore (except Sshamath crashes). If anyone wants to endow karma for this trailblazing finding then please exalt Sierante. She has drawn my attention to it!  |
