ter is now a lv 22 druid i have a wiz of 24 the feat i need requires s 30 wisdom i will have to take a wisdom epic each lv as i figger it i can get my feat at lv 29 my question is is it posbale to achieve ( by altering the scripting ) the epic round lv 25 by the use of a wisdom item say like a +3 with out the natural +30 required I realize that you can lose items and make you feat useless till you replace it
just a question i have

I'm no scripter, but on the nwn1 server i worked on such things were hardcoded.
You could remove a feat so that you couldnt have it at certain levels but you couldnt change the requirements.
As it isI think dragon shape (which I Know is the feat your talking about shouldnt even be allowed but thats just my ten cents heh.

For example, if you need 30 wisdom, and you have a wisdome of 27, a +3 wisdom item will not make you eligible for a 30 wisdom feat. You will need to obtain the stat naturally for feats.

the question is who can we ask to lower the feat requirement then ? borton You can ask here, but I'll tell you the odds of lowering a feat requirement are very very low. We would need to have very good justification as to why it needs to be lowered. Thanks.

As a neutral party I think the best justification is that: Any feat requiring 30 wisdom pretty much requires you to metagame to get there. You have to remember that many of these feats were introduced when the level cap was 40.
Of course these are also pretty good reasons to remove the feat from the game completely so...*shrug* meh.

nah, those restrictions are there for a reason.
reducing them so it's easier to access them makes stuff get silly real fast.
can you imagine reducing the dex requirement for self-concealment? Pretty soon every rogue on the server would have inherent, permanent, non-dispellable concealment.

Powerful feats like that have stringent requirements in order to force a player to sacrifice other abilities to gain that one. Lowering the requirements allows PC's to have access to multiple epic abilities or obtain epic class-specific benefits without even having many levels of that class.

Just thinking of another way to get them...
DM's can give feats from the client side.
Maybe once and a while feats can be rewarded for outstanding RP or for people who really drive their character. If you RP your druid a lot and are the head druid in the Baldurs Gate Region, maybe you deserve a feat then.
Or perhaps some similar reward system like that.
Just a thought....

Don't look at me because I'm not going to be granting feats. I'll grant XP, gold, a few items here and there, alignment shifts, but nothing as major as a feat.

I think I can help with this one as I know Ter pretty well. Basically hes is going for Dragon Form which says on the wiki that you need a Wis of 30 which is incorrect as I've tested it. I think he understood you needed 30 and is why he was asking if it could be lowered. You only need 29 Wis to do this and wild shape 8x times per day which means you have to be Pure Druid. Seeing as Ter is a Elf He will need to start with 18 wis and add wis at every lvl that you can add a stat point which is 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20. And then take Great Wisdom feat at every lvl from 21 - 28 like this and by lvl 29 you can take dragon form. I think all he is asking for is a relevel or somthing. He wasn't saying anyone was giving out free freats or anything. I think he just saw it impossible to get 30 wis by lvl 29 as an elf which it is becaus you have to use all epic feats as great wis to achive 30 wis but sence you only need 29 this is how you get dragon form as an elf by lvl 29.
