Blades in the Night
None is safe from the reach of Bhaal, the Lord of Murder; or so his followers would have you believe. Required by his divine will, his dedicated followers are to commit one murder each tenday in his honor. Of course, this particular habit is one of much chagrin to everyone else who lives near their temples and shrines.
(( If you ever wonder who the random assassins are when I'm around, that's it.
Maybe.
Heh. Heheheheee... ))

(( I've ran too many things without recounting it in a while now, so I'll just make brief accounts for each and every one, under the heading of... )) Odds and Ends- The 20th of Alturiak (( February; make a guess )) was a strange day. Many peculiar individuals and monsters made their way out from their lairs, including Kal-Torak the Kicker of Puppies, Kaelvar the Skeleton Cook and the lurking Face Eater monsters (( I warned people, but nobody would listen... )) which claimed several victims. Yet another year, however, the Mother of All Face Eaters managed to elude those who would corner it and put an end to the menace for good... - An adventurer found a woman named Saelin in the Cloakwood, claiming a friend of hers had been captured by the bugbears. They were quick to offer aid, and her friend, Talok by name, was soon rescued from their clutches. - Afterward, Saelin asked the previous adventurer and then some more to recover a gem lost to her to the orcs of the Sharp Teeth. A larger group set into the orc caves, eventually confronting the orc king. Although he seemed more than willing to negotiate over the gem, one of the adventurers decided he and his retinue were better off dead. As they left for Beregost with the gem in their possession, the orcs howled for vengeance in the night... The drow stir with activity below. Two raids have been launched in a short span of time. - The first one was quickly put down by a small band of adventurers who stumbled upon them by Tymora's guidance (( i.e. luck )). As the battered and broken survivors of the battle hastily withdrew, the adventurers gave chase, eventually cornering and slaying the portal master of the raid. That was not the end of it, however, as the portal refused to meet its end. Devils and demons broke through, intent on mayhem, as they focused their furious powers on those present. Eventually the rifts were sealed, and order restored to the Cloakwoods. - A pair of survivors of the first raid were similarly cornered afterward, as the portal was closed before the drow had intended to leave. Though most were put to death, one lucky survivor eventually made it back into the depths... - The second raid proceeded much more according to plan. Led by Belados Noqu'afin himself, the mission of vengeance on the surfacers was a stunning success. Many unsuspecting surfacers lost their lives that day, including a strike team of Flaming Fist soldiers that were dispatched to end the disturbance. As the elite troops rushed to pursue, however, the drow escaped down the portal, though the battle between the Fist elite soldiers and the remaining drow rear guard stained the Cloakwood with the blood of the black elves.

Slaughter at the Docks
Violence is part of daily life these days, it seems. Another bloody battle has taken place at the docks, leaving almost two dozens dead. Of particular note was the message left on one of the corpses. Stripped naked, and his hands nailed to a religious cross contained in the warehouse where it took place, the man had a noticeable burn on his chest, which apparently killed him. Around his neck hung a child's rag doll, and a note:
"You are unsanctioned
Signed, ToyBox"
Word spreads quickly in Baldur's Gate, despite everyone's best efforts of keeping details secret, and the question on everyone's lips is; Who really won the day?

The Trial of StormHaving wormed himself out of the charge of attempted murder, Azure Storm is now serving a tenday in jail and the punishment of 20 lashes across his back. (( Thanks to everyone who stood there and watched the talk! I hope it was enjoyable enough, despite being something so fundamentally boring as "justice". ))

Elven Justice II
Attempting to end a perceived threat, the Eldreth Veluuthra have suffered a setback. Having gone after Lore McWebber and Dias Skysong, three of their high justices were brought low and taken to the Ancient One of the Keepers of the Elder Circle; the closest thing to elven justice the would-be victims could think of.
The three prisoners are kept alive and are being interrogated. Any Keeper who wishes to learn more can talk to them directly, or to the Ancient One.
