I have to confess I'm not a big fan of immunities on items.
I was told by someone there is a ring on the server that has immunity to level/ability drain. They were not sure if there were any other items with immunities.
What other immunities are on items...
Immunity to Mind spells? Freedom? Immunity Instant Death? Immunity to This? Immunity to That?
Oh... and hello! First time playing last night.. had a great time. Very interesting server so far.

Immunity items really ruin the game. They negate a lot certain classes , ie.., Paladin..on most servers you can get an immunity to disease ring, or immunity to fear. So why take the class when you can take a fighter and find immunity itmes? Some classes have immunity to poison, but if you can find immunity to poison items..., why take that class? Those two things alone can cause havic among most fighter type characters at higher DC saves. Monsters that hit on a high DC of inflicted Disease...very devasting to the non Paladin type fighter for example, or a Fear that will affect most fighter types. Monsters that like pixies that have dispel magic hurt the caster spell buffs. Immunity items ruin the game.

Ill say this now to set everyone strait. NONE OF THE ITEMS I MAKE HAVE ANY SORT OF IMMUNITIES ON THEM. There are some players who have immunity items on them, they were given due to events or something from other DM's. I dont give out immunity gear, or anything from OBE For that matter because their items are absolute rubbish. -Ice

BUT as i said, these are powerful items, and it is likely that you wont see them ever. Just like a demi-lich....lol. you know they are out there. But you wont see them, exept on one or two very rare ocasion. Zeal Actaully zeal, they're not so rare. An amulet of health is sold in CandleKeep. So much for my de-buff spells.

Where in particular is this amulet of health? I've searched the area around Candlekeep and not found it, and those darn wyverns keep lowering my CON to 0 and 1-hit killing me... I would be fine if they couldn't lower my health from 70 to 10 in one hit...

I'm havent adventured to Wyverns yet, but I assume by lowering you health, they are lowering you Con? There are Con boost items, and overall save boost items available. Pure immunity items really hurt the game in my opinion and take away from classes or feat you can take to help you. Partying up with different character types, that can supplement you in some way, whether it be a fighter with a high Con or the caster that can protect you with spells, just my opinion.

My con by default is 12, and it only takes one lucky hit for my con to go down to zero from those blasted things. Therefore con boost seems useless (since they damage it by 12 or more) and my saves are pretty much as high as I can get them atm (i use dark ones own luck to apply my charisma bonus to all my saves). I can manage without it sure, but it would be really helpful, not just against the wyverns but against other debuffer mobs as well. I can handle the poison and their attack damage, but the con damage messes me up something fierce. And I like to solo a lot, since I can never seem to find a party when I'm grinding. I always have to stumble upon an event or have a bored dm single me out

That particular amulet has been removed from the game.

What will happen for those that already had the amulet?

I can solo them using the Warlock's undead summon as a decoy, but I just swapped it out for Flee the Scene at last level without realizing the actual effect of the ability and it's description aren't in agreement

A wonderful combo for tackling the Wyverns Poison is - Bear's Endurance and Superior Resist or any Save Buffs you ahve and then add some AC buffs to the mix to avoid getting hit in the first place.

It should be gone by now. We'll let the admin decide on what stays and goes but your recommendations are very valid. Can you PM me/us the locations of such things? I can forward them to the powers-above and let him decide on them.

Next time i go in game, i will look at the stores again and send you a list with what i find, since my above post is out of memory
